Story
Are you ready for more joy in your home? Look no further! We have an amazing dog who is eagerly waiting to become your new best friend. Here's why Vida (nickname: Honey B) could be the perfect addition to your family: Green Flags (Because Who Doesn't Love a Perfectly Balanced Dog?): Energy Galore: If you love going on walks and outdoor adventures, Vida is your ideal sidekick! With boundless energy, you'll never have to exercise alone again. Brains and Curiosity: This pup is a smarty-paws! Intelligent and curious, she loves learning new tricks and commands. Just be ready for some stubborn moments (see quirk below). Sweet as Pie: Need a cuddle buddy? Vida loves being close to you and thrives on kisses, pets, and belly scratches. Prepare for endless affection and a constant shadow! Independent Streak: While Vida adores your company, she also appreciates her alone time. Whether you have another dog or prefer a solo furry friend, this adaptable pup fits right in. Crate-Trained: Sleep peacefully, knowing Vida is crate-trained and does exceptionally well at night. Dreamland, here we come! Red Flag (More Like Quirks): The Squirrel Nemesis: Vida has a distractable mind, especially when it comes to her arch-enemy: the squirrel. Those critters are just too tempting! Commands might get ignored during these squirrel-induced distractions, but who can blame her? High Jumper and Possible Climber: Is your yard ready for a high-flying acrobat? Vida can jump high and maybe even climb, so a sturdy fence and some extra training will be key to keeping her grounded. This is how she got her nickname Honey B(unny)…also she bounces around when excited. Cat Conundrum: Given her obsession with small critters, cats might not be her thing. More than likely, she'll consider your cat another version of "the squirrel." So, a cat-free household would be ideal. This lovable girl is ready to fill your home with joy, laughter, and unconditional love. If you're looking for a companion who is as sweet as pie, intelligent, and full of energy, then Vida is the perfect match for you. Don't miss out on the chance to adopt this wonderful dog. Fill out an application and see for yourself just how special she is. Your new best friend is waiting!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 5:48 pm

Story
Meet Orchid: The Mellow Sweetheart Ready for Her Forever Home! Introducing Orchid, our three-year-old (almost four!) bundle of joy who's ready to find a loving forever home. Weighing in at 52 pounds, Orchid is part of our prestigious Super Dog Canine Good Citizen Program and has earned her title as a fantastic dog. Orchid's life started out rough. She was found as a stray with her puppy, filled with fear. However, through lots of love and training, she has blossomed into a fabulous dog. Although shy at first, Orchid quickly warms up and becomes over-attached to her person, showering them with loyalty and affection. She's currently living in boarding and is eager to find either a foster or forever home. Orchid is great with dogs, serving as our tester dog for introductions. She has a calming influence on other dogs and is pretty mellow herself. She'd do best in a home with older children over the age of 10 or 12. Like all dogs, proper introductions and decompression are essential, but Orchid is particularly sensitive to new environments. This lovely lady does experience some separation anxiety and tends to form strong attachments to her person. Orchid isn't very food motivated, but she has a soft spot for hot dogs, string cheese, chicken, and especially Go-Gurt. She loves to walk and is great on a leash, knowing her basic commands. Her calm and affectionate nature makes her a wonderful companion. Orchid is smart, eager to learn, and ready to please. She's excited to have a comfy bed, toys she can call her own, and a loving family to show her what life is all about. With a little time to adjust, she will no doubt adapt quickly and become your loyal best friend. If you're looking for a mellow, sweet, and loyal companion who's ready to bring joy and love into your life, Orchid is your girl. Adopt Orchid today and give her the forever home she's been dreaming of! All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
