I am a bit shy, but loving. Cats are not my favorite choice. I am really particular with my dog friends, so please bring your dog(s) to meet me first. Unsure how he is with kids.

Story
Nibs is "happy, joyful and debonair, possibly the bravest Lost Boy. He was named after Nibs, a Lost Boy from Peter Pan. You see our Nibs seems to be deaf and being a deaf, young puppy is scary but Nibs is very brave about it. He is a big derpy boy. He is awesome and comical! You will need to watch out for his big feet because he will step right on yours. Nibs will body lean for pets and his tail wags will show you how happy he is... so happy you will need to watch out because it will snap you like a whip. Nibs wants to be friends and loved by everyone! Cats, he can be curious but will run scared and knock down anyone is his way at the first sign of any aggression. Dogs, he loves them all but can be a bit much for them being deaf. He doesn't hear their verbal cues but has learned quickly how to read their body language. Kids, while he does well with everyone, toddlers can be unpredictable and with Nibs being deaf a small child can be knockdown out of fear when he is startled but he adapts quickly and easily. Nibs does not jump on or lick you but he loves belly rubs. While he loves to play and can be a bulldozer, he enjoys relaxing and taking naps a lot. He likes all toys and fetches but either wants to play tug of war upon return or hides it. Give Nibs a hard chew like a nylabone or Himalayan cheese and he redirects very well with them. Nibs is super smart as well as a quick learner and has learned hand signs. He knows how to go (wherever someone points to: crate, room, outside, ETC), come (to the person signing), sit, lay down and he is doing well with No (when he needs to calm from play inside or when he wants to hump). Nibs gets overly excited and does try to hump things, mainly blankets or one of the other dogs. He redirects easily with a tap and the sign for no. It has actually become A-LOT more rare these days. He is overall the sweetest, most chill, energy filled to lazy snuggle boy. He loves being around his people but will dart back with new introductions. He likes to sniff and get chin pets but not reaching over his head. He learns so much through smell and sight because he cannot hear. Once he says "hello you will find him either wanting to playful bow and get you to play with him or lean in for pets and love while taking a seat at your feet.

Story
Hi!  My name is Bella Brownie and I am a one year old spayed Weimaraner mix weighing approximately 50 lbs.  I am a very sweet, loyal, playful and affectionate.  I am a very loving companion.  I am mostly brown but have a white patch on my chest.  If you look closely, you will see shades of silver across my nose and what about my green eyes....  My fosters think I'm a very, very good looking pup.  I'm crate trained, house broken, good on a leash, good with all ages of people and love playing with other dogs.  I love car rides and settle in my crate quickly.  I love to be around people and I'm great with children.  I'm the perfect pup if you have an active lifestyle.  I'm learning basic commands and am eager to please.  I'm looking for an active home where I can play, take walks, and most of all become a beloved member of your family.  If you're an active family, I'm your girl.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   August 18, 2024, 11:11 pm
