Meet the adorable Macarena! She is ready for adoption and eagerly waiting for her forever family. ~ GENDER: Female. ~ AGE: 1 year. ~ WEIGHT: 9.5 lbs. ~ HEIGHT: approx 10” (floor to shoulder). ~ BREED: Welsh terrier mix, with a sprinkle of miniature Dachshund. ~ PERSONALITY: Playful, affectionate, social, friendly. ~ ENERGY: Moderate. Does not require heavy duty exercise. ~ GETS ALONG WITH DOGS: Yes. ~ GETS ALONG WITH CATS: Not yet tested. ~ GETS ALONG WITH KIDS: Yes. ~ GOOD ON LEASH: Yes, comfortable walking on leash. ~ GOOD IN CAR: Yes. ~ CRATE TRAINED: Yes. ~ HOUSE TRAINED: Not quite yet. She currently lives at a rescue shelter which makes it more challenging to practice house training. ~ BARKING LEVEL: Not excessive. ~ RESOURCE GUARDING: No. ~ ANY AGGRESSION: No. ~ RESCUE HISTORY: Macarena was rescued in Tonalá, Mexico. Her previous owners mistreated her and her two siblings, leaving them to sleep on the streets and eventually chasing them away from the house with a broom. Despite this, Macarena is a loving and personable pooch who gets along perfectly with adults, kids, and other dogs.    VETTING:  Fully vaccinated. Spayed. Dewormed. SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma). Distemper negative. Flea/tick/heartworm prevention. No known medical issues.   **PLEASE NOTE: Macarena is currently in Mexico. There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC. This will be discussed upon approval.** ##2093459##
