Story
East TN. Out of state welcome! Great news is if you saw him on adopt a pet. His adoption fee includes transport to your area if you are in the northeast and Great Lakes areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs because they are the best! Meet Pedro! This little (yes he’s only 28 lbs) cutie found himself at a kill shelter with his brother. His brother was adopted but he has been overlooked. Pedro is a very confident and happy boy. He is not afraid of much and wants to be protector from strangers he doesn’t know but he warms up as long as they are not a threat to his family. He does fine with older children he knows and that know how to respect the dogs space. Probably best in a home with kiddos over the age of 7. He is silly and loveable and absolutely loves to sit on your lap and be loved. His favorite pass time is to roll over for belly scratches. He can be a bit jealous of other dogs and wants to be a bossy little man with other dogs but he does take corrections very well. He is only 28 lbs and will not get any bigger. He is around a year old. He is crate trained and potty trained. He has come a long way with his potty training and will hold it all night while in his crate. Apply at petpath.org

I’m a happy girl with puppy energy, with lots of love so share. I’m dog friendly and kid friendly but I might do better with older kids as I do like to jump up and give kisses. Foster mom says I look like a Rockstar with my crazy hair and Mohawk. I love toys and playing with others, but also make a great snuggle buddy! If I would like your perfect friend apply to meet me today! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. August 18, 2024, 3:27 pm

My journey started on the tough streets of Houston, TX, where I learned to be resilient and hopeful. At just 6 months old, I found myself in a situation no pup should ever face: I was only 24 hours away from being euthanized. But then, my luck changed when Last Day Dog Rescue saved me!  I’m a Schnauzer mix, weighing in at a charming 16 lbs, with a sweet disposition that wins hearts wherever I go. My scruffy fur and sparkling eyes are always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a playful bark. I was saved by some wonderful people who saw my potential and my big, loving heart. Now, I'm looking for my forever home where I can bring joy and companionship. I promise to be your loyal friend, always ready for cuddles, playtime, and adventures. So, if you're looking for a sweet, resilient pup to brighten your days and fill your home with love, I'm your guy! Let's make some amazing memories together. Love, Percy, your scruffy friend forever.
