Meet Taylor Swift, our sweet three-year-old Westie momma who has just weaned her adorable babies and is now ready to embark on her very own adventure in a loving home. After dedicating herself to raising her pups, Taylor is eager to establish her own routines, which means she'll need some time working on house and crate training.
Taylor has been tolerant of the adult dogs in her foster home but would also thrive as the leading lady, where she wouldn’t have to share any toys or attention. She’s a delightful mix of affectionate, confident, and curious, always ready to greet strangers with a friendly wiggle. Her playful, rambunctious nature and goofy, silly antics will keep you entertained. She’s confident and loves exploring new things, making every day an adventure.
True to her breed, Taylor Swift is a smart, tough, and playful little terrier with a smidge of stubbornness. Westies are known to also have territorial tendencies, preferring not to share their food and toys, and Taylor is no exception. Because of this, we recommend a home with older, dog-savvy kids. This silly girl loves to run around with treasures in her mouth, whether it's toys, blankets, or anything else she can find. Though she's excited and rambunctious, she is fairly easy to redirect.

GDU does ask a minimum adoption fee of $400.00. This does not even come close to covering all expenses created by animals while in rescue. We are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum fee includes DAPP, rabies if age appropriate,, heartworm test and preventative, if age appropriate, and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying, if the animal is medically sound to undergo surgery. In an attempt to avoid tummy upset from a sudden change of food, the foster family may include a small, transitional bag of the food the dog/puppy has been eating. And if the dog/puppy has grown attached to a special item (like a toy or blanket), they may send that along, as well.
