Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $800 Introducing the Elements Litter! These 9 week old Whoodle (Wheaton Terrier-Miniature Poodle mix) puppies are equal parts fluff, fun, and mischief. These puppies were surrendered in a teeny crate to the shelter who reached out for urgent assistance. This litter of 8 is 6 boys and 2 girls. While they don’t have true hypoallergenic poodle coats, they may be lower shed as adults. Come and start a science experiment of your own with an Element puppy and see sparks fly!      Cadmium (M): Cadmium is sweet, sociable, and full of positive vibes. This laid-back puppy is always ready for a game of chase or a good round of wrestling with his siblings. But when he’s had his fill of fun, Cadmium is quick to find a soft rug or blanket to lie on, belly up, basking in pure comfort. His relaxed nature makes him the perfect balance to his puppy zoomies. Cadmium is content to be by your side, giving you the occasional nudge when he’s ready for some love. He’s a real team player—always willing to join in on playtime or curl up next to you when it’s time to relax. His gentle nature makes him a fantastic snuggler, and his soft, sweet kisses are just another reason he’s so easy to fall in love with. Cobalt (M): Cobalt is the element of cuddles! He’s got a heart as big as his energy. Cobalt is your go-to snuggler and he knows how to melt hearts wherever he trots, making friends as quickly as he can flutter his long eyelashes. Once he’s run his circuits, he’s ready to settle into his own gravitational pull—that means right on top of you for a cozy cuddle. His kisses are the molecular bonds that will make you feel loved, even if his sharp puppy teeth sometimes conduct a little excitement. But don't worry, his cuddles will always charge up your spirits, and he’ll learn to keep those nibbles in check. If you’ve been seeking a science partner, you’ve found your bond with Cobalt!  Krypton (M): Krypton is an element of surprise! This little guy may have started off a bit unsure, but now he’s got a strong bond with his family, and his energy is off the charts. When he walks, his butt wiggle is so cute, it should have its own scientific term (we’ll call it the atomic wiggle). He’s a fast learner, and after some solid playtime, he’ll often react with a nap, stretching out in the funniest positions (like laying on his back with one paw hanging out of his x-pen). His playful spirit and electrifying personality will keep you entertained all day long! Krypton’s only weakness? Treats! This handsome hunk will keep you laughing from dawn til dusk.  Neon (F): Neon lives up to her name—she’s full of energy and brightens every room she enters! She loves rope toys, zooming around the house, and, apparently, helping with chores—her favorite mischief involves sneaking into the dishwasher in an attempt to “assist” with cleaning. Neon is a confident, curious pup who loves attention and isn’t afraid to demand it. She’s always looking for new games to play, whether it’s a rousing round of tug-of-war or an enthusiastic exploration of whatever her humans are up to. Despite her lively personality, she knows how to settle down and enjoys snuggling up after a long day of fun. Platinum (M): Platinum is the definition of a shiny, irresistible pup—he’s as charming as a precious metal! This little guy is full of sparkle and zest for life, always eager to start his next adventure. Whether he's zooming around the yard with his siblings or playfully pouncing on a squeaky toy, Platinum knows how to keep things exciting. His enthusiasm for life is truly contagious, and he loves being the shiny center of attention when it comes to playtime. But Platinum is not all about action—he’s also a smooth operator when it comes to snuggling. After a few rounds of energetic play, he’ll calm right down and curl up on your lap for some recharge time. His playful side might be the first thing you notice, but his gentle snuggles will win you over just as easily. Whether it's resting after a run or lounging on the couch, Platinum’s love for affection will leave you melting. Selenium (M): Selenium has a heart of pure gold. He's sweet, calm, and just full of love as his brother, but with a little more of a laid-back vibe than some of his sibs. Selenium loves his playtime, but he’s also an expert in the art of relaxation. He’s perfectly happy hanging out on the couch, belly-up, or stretching out on a cozy rug, looking as content as can be. He’s the type of pup who enjoys both adventure and tranquility. Selenium loves hanging out with his siblings, and while they are running around, Selenium will be right there, patiently waiting for his turn to play or chasing after a favorite toy. He’s the perfect balance of energy and calm, and his easy-going nature makes him a joy to be around. Selenium is also very affectionate and loves being around his humans. He’ll happily curl up beside you, sharing a quiet moment, or gently nuzzle your hand for a few extra pets. Titanium (M): Titanium is a gentle, affectionate pup who enjoys the finer things in life—like lounging in a sunny spot after a good meal and curling up next to his favorite human for snuggles. Throughout the day, he enjoys rolling around, playing with his siblings, and occasionally seeking out his foster family’s resident dog, Nik, whom he looks up to like an older brother. Titanium is not a high-energy pup, but he’s no couch potato either. He enjoys gentle play but prefers to take breaks in between, often flopping over in a silly, clumsy manner that never fails to make his foster family laugh. At night, he sleeps soundly in his crate, feeling safe and secure. He would thrive in a home where he can have a mix of playtime and relaxation—bonus points if there’s a cozy sunspot for his afternoon naps! Zinc (F): Zinc is a spark of energy and affection wrapped in a tiny, fluffy package! From the moment you meet her, you'll realize she’s the ionic type – always eager to interact with you, giving you constant love and attention. This little element is the true definition of a velcro dog. She thrives on human connection and craves being as close as possible to her favorite people. Zinc is not just about cuddles though; she’s also incredibly curious and loves exploring her surroundings. Whether it’s jumping on her foster family’s laps for snuggles or zooming around with her foster brothers, Zinc knows how to keep the positive energy flowing. And when it’s time to wind down, she’s the perfect lap companion, showering you with kisses like a little scientist running a test for maximum affection.     These adorable fluffballs would thrive in homes that appreciate their unique personalities. They’d do well with other dogs, and they’ve already shown great manners with visiting kids. Whether adopted together or separately, one thing is for sure—these Whoodles will bring endless joy, laughter, and love to their forever families! If you’re ready for some hands on experimenting with an adorable puppy, you won’t find a cuter lab partner than one of the Element puppies!  The Element puppies are only an option for homes who have owned a dog of their own in the last 5 years. Kids should be over the age of 5.March 18, 2025, 8:02 pm

Kids should be over the age of 5.March 19, 2025, 3:42 pm
