Story
Our handsome white, green-eyed young boy is called Kipper and he is looking for a special and loving family in his life. He is almost 6 months old and weighs 24 lb and should be the size of his mom who was only 30 lb. It is hard to say what breeds or combined to make up this beautiful boys DNA, but he looks very much like a whippet and will always have a lien athletic build that will never be big. He doesn't even reach you at the top of your knee. He is so wanting to be special and loved in the eyes of anyone. He has a little bit of a shy side to him and he loves other dogs and would do so well living in a home with another dog or going out to play at a dog park and share the commonality and friendships of dogs who are there to play. He's pretty good on a leash and he's almost housebroken. Smart, happy, handsome, open to new experiences in life, and looking for a good home. He was born in a litter of eight siblings to a very young and small mama dog. She raised them well and has passed along her good natured temperament and beauty to all her puppies. If you were looking for a dog on the small/ medium size as in 30-35 lbs tops, then Kipper is perfect for you. If you are interested, write to us at Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.  Please mention what city and state that you live in. We are based in Nashville Tennessee and we also promote and transport our dogs to the northeastern states. Story
My name is Kaylee and I am a five and a half month old spunky little whippet mix girl who loves to be right by your side and your forever and ever shadow I have been told that I'm extremely sweet and a very happy little girl. I love to jump and run in the yard like a deer. I am friendly with all my dog friends and humans that I meet. I don't know about cats right now because I really haven't been around them but I probably would like them. I love for people to pay attention to me and tell me how pretty and sweet that I am. I got very little attention growing up because there were too many of us puppies and the man that owned my mama was gone a lot. But now I'm in a great foster home that has one other dog and a roommate so I get a lot of love. I adore this newfound attention. I'm pretty good in the crate but I do whine a little at first because I've never been crated in my whole life. But I sleep there all night long and sometimes part of the day when my foster mom is at work. I'm learning to walk on a leash and I'm catching on very quick because honestly I'm a smart little girl. Right now I weigh 22 lb and I shouldn't be more than about 30 to 35 as an adult. That's how big my mom is. If you're interested in a very smart, pretty, and smallish dog to adopt, that would be me. Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask them for an adoption application. They will send one right over. Story
Summer is coming and we have just the dog for you to enjoy it with!! This is Wiley, a lover of all things outdoors, love going on hikes and sniffing all the new smells, loves to show off his running skills! Wiley (aka Wiley Coyote) is a 1 ½ year old terrier/whippet mix, hence the love of scents and the ability to run! To watch him walk is a thing of beauty-he develops his prance and smiles as he walks! Can things get any cuter?? He lkes to play with other dogs and they can't catch up with him! Both breeds are known to be quick to learn and Wiley is a wonderful example of that! His stuffed avocado is his favorite toy. It is with him much of the time and he has never chosen to unstuff it! One big downfall is that he is not getting along with the new baby in the home. He loves his mom and is reluctant to share. His new home would be one where he is with adults or teens, he could thrive in most homes but the big thing is that he needs to have enough space to do his favorite thing-run! While he knows the basics, a positive training class would be awesome for him, not only to help him bond with his new people but also to learn new things! We can help with that! Now for the basics-he is 1 ½ years old, 30 lbs, loves his crate, loves his food, enjoys doggie day care. To learn more about this beautiful boy, please call Our Companions Animal Rescue at 860-242-9999 or e-mail to helpline@ourcompanions.org

That's a foreign concept to Niabi - she's all about being up close and personal! She's also an avid water enthusiast, always up for a splashing good time with the water hose. Niabi gets along with her housemates, though she's known to give them the once-over to size them up. Supervision ensures everyone gets along swimmingly. On a leash, she's eager but pulls with exuberance, a behavior we're working on refining.Chew toys are a must in Niabi's world - she loves them durable and entertaining. Story
Meet Cassidy, the Charming Introvert! Get ready to fall in love with Cassidy, a pale white pup with captivating puppy eyes and a heart-shaped nose. Despite a challenging past where he navigated the streets and scrounged for survival, Cassidy's resilience shines through. Now, he's on a mission to find a loving home where he can feel safe and cherished. Cassidy is a dog with a gentle and timid personality. Loud noises and intense reactions make him nervous, and he prefers a calm and serene environment. He needs time to warm up to people and build trust before he feels comfortable and secure. This smart little guy knows some tricks already and is a well-mannered companion during feeding time. He's polite and respectful, showing his intelligence and willingness to please. Sitting on command is just one of the many tricks he has mastered. When it comes to relaxation, Cassidy's favorite spot is snuggled up on the couch or bed. He loves cozy naps and enjoys sleeping in when it's chilly or rainy outside. His head and ears are the sweet spots for scratches and cuddles, and he might even roll over for a belly rub! Cassidy is searching for someone who will shower him with love and understanding. While he respects cats and tolerates other dogs, he prefers his own space and will often retreat to a separate room. However, when the other dogs are not around, he comes out for attention and cuddles. He enjoys the quiet company of a select few men, seeming to have a preference for quieter individuals. It's important to note that Cassidy is not a fan of chaos, whether it's caused by humans or other dogs. He seeks a serene and calm environment where he can feel at ease. Car rides are a pleasure for him, as long as he is the sole rider and not in a crowded car with other dogs. To provide Cassidy with his ideal home, a single, quiet man with no other dogs or possibly a submissive dog that Cassidy meets and approves of would be the perfect match. An at-home social life that aligns with his introverted nature is preferable. While Cassidy tends to avoid general interaction and may not seek pets, hugs, or kisses, he has his moments of affection when he feels comfortable. Cassidy may be an introverted hermit, but beneath his reserved exterior lies a dog yearning for love and understanding. If you're someone who appreciates the quiet moments and can provide a calm and peaceful environment, Cassidy will reward you! (Only) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
