"What did the cricket say to the squirrel??" How would we know?? Cricket's don't TALK!! Ok, now that we have broken the ice, let me tell you all about me :) I am a strong survivor. I came from the most DISMAL situation you can imagine.... born to an unwanted mother, sickly and sad, I was dumped with her as well as one of our sisters dead bodies, like we had no meaning in this world... BUT, LOVE WON OUT!!! I was seen by a kind woman who reached out to another kind woman who reached out to a rescuer in San Antonio- 5 hours away!!! AND we were SAVED! So how is that for a rags to riches story?? It is MY story. I am a happy girl now, I have come SO FAR from the scared, skinny, starving, mangy pup I was, but I haven't reached the finish line YET!! That's where you come in... I am ready for my forever family. We are going to be a little picky, if you don't mind. I prefer a home, with heat and ac, with food and with LOVE. Older kids would be great, I can still be a little nervous with new people (who can blame me?) and I would love another calm, confident dog to help me with my energy. So, if that sounds like your home, APPLY TO ADOPT ME!!! You will not only finish my story with a huge happy ending chapter, you will be encouraging all of the kind women who took the time and energy and love that was needed to get me safe and to wonderful families!!! ADOPT.... DON'T SHOP!!! OUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Desi is a 6-year-old Indian Pariah dog, rescued at 2 weeks when his mom died in the streets. He has been in our family since he was 4 mths old. Desi is sweet, animated, intelligent and loving. He is very sensitive and loves to cuddle on the couch. Although he is fearful of new dogs and people, we have spent 6 years rehabilitating him to help him relax in scary situations. He is very food motivated and responsive and has improved significantly. Now, he can have dog friends if introduced slowly, and once he feels comfortable with a person, he will love them forever. Desi has nipped a person on the ankle and bitten one dog in our front yard, both while off leash; but has been trained to heel, and walk respectfully in public while on leash. He needs a sensitive, patient owner who understands his special emotional needs and will continue to encourage him to be calm and respectful in society. Desi has no separation anxiety, no destructive behavior in the house or yard. He is truly a gem.

Hi, I’m Chai. I was minding my own business running around the neighborhood until I came across this one house that had all the good treats. Suddenly this lady said something about rescuing me because there was a freeze coming and I didn’t trust her at first, I was so scared. I decided to play hard to get, it took her like 5 days to gain my trust. Finally I decided it was time to see what she had to offer. Now I’m having the time of my life. I have fur brothers and sisters that keep me company, I even have a human sister that’s just a baby. I’m so gentle with her and my foster mom says I’m a natural around infants. I spend my days sleeping on the couch and doing zoomies in the backyard. I’m working on my confidence right now and I’m a little shy but I promise I warm up fast. I’m scared of unfamiliar things but my foster parents are going to keep working with me. I’m fully potty trained, crate trained, and have good manners. So apparently we are Georgia peaches :) I mean, we r named after Georgia cities :0 And of course, Georgia is known for their peaches and their starry skies... and we agree that we are just like them! Our story starts much like so so many others in the south.... we were dumped at about 8 weeks old in a median and boy were we scared!! Luckily the lady who found and saved us was going to the exact location daily to feed/water and try to catch two adult dogs who had been hanging out there for almost a year :( SO, she was very very persistent and got the rescue to take us and we were caught and brought straight to the rescue... and we have been here ever since. Our foster mom has been working hard to get us more comfortable with people and being held and loved and we have made LOTS of progress!! We each have our own personality, much like the cities we are named after...... Savannah is a gorgeous blonde peach, she has a shyness to her but once she knows who you are her sweet ways will win you over :) Wrens is sister number two, she is a tall glass of sweet tea, dark tea colored with a playful and silly demeanor. She wants to be loved and is learning to express that more every day... and FINALLY Tybee is the little brother, he looks pretty different than his sisters so we call him the brother from another mister :) Ty Ty is a really really sweet lowrider who loves to be kind of naughty at times (he drags his foster mom's shoes in the yard all the time!!) Any one of these pups would be fantastic, each one will be best with another dog in the house- a calm and confident dog to play with them and to help them acclimate to their new homes :) Don't wait too long, these three are really really Southern pups who will charm their way into somebody's hearts ;) Hopefully yours!
