I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereMeet Xipe, the endearing underconfident puppy searching for a patient and understanding family. At just 7 months old, Xipe can be shy and may freeze or cower when approached too quickly. However, with time and gentle encouragement, he warms up quickly to those he trusts. Xipe is incredibly affiliative, finding comfort in human company and showing a strong affinity for food rewards, which makes him eager to learn. Potential adopters should be prepared to continue Xipe's socialization journey and provide consistent positive reinforcement training. Continued socialization and breed-specific research are recommended for his development. Follow Xipe's adventures in foster with @gordas_oas_gang_of_fosters on Instagram! Story
**Rehoming My Beloved Xolo** Im heartbroken to rehome my sweet boy. He needs someone with time, attention, and experience. Xolos are challenging, and my boy is no exception. You should be a dog trainer or experienced with Xolos/reactive dogs. I adopted him later in life, which made integration tough. He is reactive to unfamiliar dogs and strangers and does not get along with my 18-year-old Bichon, who has poor vision and cant interpret cues, leading to nipping incidents, including one severe enough for stitches. In the right environment, hes very sweet but needs firm, consistent training and understanding of his resource-guarding tendencies. If you have the experience and are ready for the challenge, please reach out. - His DOB is 2/14/22 - Reactive towards strange dogs - Resource issues but listens well to corrections when supervised. - Bit my other dog about 3 months ago - loves people but will still resource guard when unsupervised. - About 65 lbs - hormonal acne issues

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Hutch is a  transfer from the SFSPCA. He was a bit overwhelmed by all the city noise and activity. He has settled in at the ranch and is such a sweetheart! This little guy is a true snuggle bug and couldn't be more adorable with his big Chihuahua ears and long graceful legs. Hutch has been with us for many years and is bonded to his kennel mate (brother?) Rickie. He's a senior guy now and has a few health conditions such as arthritis. He's an easy keeper though, and is more like a cat than a dog. He prefers to be indoors or laying in a sunny spot in the yard where it is quiet. He prefers napping to walking these days and is looking for a home with Rickie where he can live out his golden years. All of our animals are up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have had a physical exam. At adoption we provide: veterinary records and vaccine certificates, castration certificate, lifetime lost animal support, one month’s worth of flea medication and heartworm medication, one week’s worth of food, a leash, a collar, an ID tag, and a familiar toy or blanket to help them settle in. We also provide lifetime basic positive training support.   If you would like to meet any of our animals, please complete our adoption application at www.azayaranchsanctuary.org or email info@azayaranchsanctuary.org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Rickie is a shy guy that loves going for walks. He is even good with kitties! His mix is a mystery as he has long graceful legs and dainty little ears. His personality has really started to shine and he is a goofy little clown that shows his affection by rubbing his head against you. Rickie has been with us for many years and is bonded to his kennel mate (brother?) Hutch. Rickie is an easy keeper and is happy to nap the day away in a cozy or sunny spot. He still enjoys a stroll around the neighborhood and is fine with other dogs, although energetic puppies can be too much for him. Come meet this silly and entertaining little man today!
