Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sissy is a sweet, gentle, playful little girl.  She enjoys being outside in the yard exploring and observing everything going on around her and laying in the sun.  She loves to play with the other small dogs in her foster home.  A fenced in yard would be best for Sissy allowing her to go in/out independently to do her business.  She enjoys going on walks, she is potty trained, and loves playing and chewing on toys.  It will be important to have another small dog in Sissy’s forever home so she continues to learn to trust people and build her confidence.  Sissy is not aggressive; she is just cautious when meeting new people and it is important to let her settle in on her timeline.  Once she trusts you, Sissy does enjoy a good rub and likes to join you on the couch.  Now that she trusts us, one of her favorite times of day is when she is allowed up on our bed in the morning with our dogs where she gets lots of love and rubs!  She will lay on top of you and nudge your hand for more rubs.   Sissy doesn’t care to be picked up but if you pick her up, she will allow you to put on a harness and leashes for a walk and she will stay in your lap for some petting.  With patience, time, and the influence of her small furry siblings, Sissy’s confidence has grown daily! Sissy’s sweet playful side shines through every day!  She would be a wonderful companion for another small playful dog.  She currently lives with small dogs and adults.  She is respectful when another dog doesn’t want to play.  Energetic large dogs and small kids make her nervous.  Older respectful teenage children should be okay.  A large dog that is quiet and low keyed should be fine with slow introductions.  A quieter household without a lot of visitors would make Sissy most comfortable.  If you are looking for a sweet, gentle, even-tempered dog who’d love to play with your small dog then Sissy may be your girl.   Everyday she shows us what a wonderful girl she is blossoming into!  It will be important to be patient with her to earn her trust, to have a quieter home with no young kids or high energy large dogs.  Sissy would be fine hanging out in another room with a “safe space” if young kids visited.   A fenced in yard would be the perfect home for Sissy.  Fill out an application, I’d love to tell you about this sweet girl!  Sissy is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, meet Stacy! Stacy is an incredibly friendly and playful companion, getting along splendidly with both humans and pets. While she does have a bit of a prey drive when the cats start running, she merely paws or sniffs them once she catches up. In the house, she mostly ignores the cats, demonstrating her easygoing nature. However, Stacy's interest in free-range chickens, squirrels, and rabbits suggests she might chase them if not contained by a fence or leash. Potty training is a work in progress, but she's showing improvement. I believe she'd master it quickly if she were the only pet still learning the ropes. Stacy's high energy level means she loves to play, but she also cherishes snuggling with a human or a furry friend during her rest time. She's very social and always wants to be in the middle of the action. Like all puppies, Stacy has a penchant for chewing, often targeting kids' toys and socks. It's typical puppy behavior, and with continued training she'll learn what is appropriate for chewing on. Stacy truly is a sweetheart. She'd thrive best in an active family with children and another dog to play with, ensuring she gets all the love and activity she craves. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Arthur is a 1 year old pup who has not previously been exposed to many things so everything is new and often scary to him.   He was raised with his parents and brother so is very dog friendly.  He is curious but very timid.  When scared,  he does not bark or growl just avoids and retreats.  He does much better with a doggy friend by his side and for this reason, he would do best in a home with an easygoing canine friend that can give him a little courage as he learns new things.   He does seem to get anxious at times (will whine or bark if left alone) but much less if he can be following around or snuggling with his dog friends.   He is actually more comfortable with dogs than people but after a week, is now starting to seek out attention from his foster family.  He has done well with considerate kids.  He has met a 6 year old up to teens and does well as long as they approach him gently.       His brain is like a little sponge and he is learning new things every day.   He is working hard on potty training.  He does not know many commands yet but is a smart little guy that should learn quickly once he feels safe in a new home.  Arthur loves being outside lying in the sun or sniffing all the smells but does startle easily at noises and will run away so being secured will be very important.  He is doing well with leash training when he has his doggy friend next to him.   He is just starting to play with toys and loves to chew.    At night he sleeps soundly in his wire crate if he is in the same room with his dog friends.      This little guy is getting braver every day.  He is cute as pie and twice as sweet.   He is looking for a home that can slowly introduce him to all fun doggy things.   He would do best in a home with another easygoing pup that can tolerate some puppy behavior.  He has not been cat tested but with his demeanor, may do well with a dog savvy cat.     Arthur is from a local impound.
