Story
We adopted Donut in November from a pet rescue when he was a year old. He originated in Georgia. Since then, very excited Mexican nationals approach us regularly in the street asking if he is a xoloitzcuintli, or Mexican hairless dog. We think he is, though he has short hair. Donut is mostly incredibly sweet and affectionate. He loves to play and cuddle, and he is particularly great with all children and women, including our two young children. He loves walks and running and chew toys. He has come a long way: fully house trained, he stopped chewing on household items, grown accustomed to crates and group doggy daycare. However, Donut has a lot of fear and anxiety about men and unknown dogs on the street that make him unpredictable and led to minor biting and aggressive behavior. It has become problematic for our extended family. We have a child whose special needs intensified greatly this year and cannot do more. Best for an experienced patient female adopter, kids a bonus.

Being the Chi man that I am, I am a little hesitant at first but believe me, I am a love. I just wanna wiggle around and be loved! I don't mind cats or dogs either. I am a loveable guy; just give me a chance and you will see. I have no toy, treat, or food issues, love to go for walks, am good in the car, and just want a nice lap to curl up on. I go potty outside on a good schedule. At just 5 years old, I have a lot of love to give you. Will you love me? I would love a quiet, adult home.
