Story
Bambi is a young female dog with a heart of gold and her foster calls her a wild ball of crazy happiness! She is an affectionate and playful dog with a fun-loving personality that will instantly win over your heart. Bambi may be a little too playful and funny for her own good - she's been known to make everyone smile with her silly antics. She is full of energy and excitement, and she's ready to bring that kind of joy into your home. Although Bambi has a lot of love to give, she is a pet with medical needs, she has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, (CH) so she will require a dog-savvy adopter. She's a friendly girl who's always up for a good snuggle and some belly rubs, but because of her energy levels, she'll need a home that knows when she is getting overstimulated and needs to take a break. Bambi is dog and cat fearless, so having a very mellow, easy-natured dog and cat is important to make that friendship work. Overall, Bambi is a fun-loving, affectionate, and happy dog who would be a perfect addition to an active household that can give her lots of love, care, and attention. Bambi’s only medical needs are love, patience, understanding. Limited access to stairs, no pools, and non-slip rugs throughout if floors are slick, she will love a long happy life otherwise! If you think you might be the right fit for Bambi, please come and meet her today - you'll fall in love with her charming and hilarious personality! We know she's waiting just for you!" We hope this helps Bambi find her forever home! If you are interested in her, please send an email to SCP at address scpdogworld@gmail.com! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! All dogs typically show on Saturdays at the Petco in Clear Lake as well. 2410 Bay Area Blvd near Space Center. Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required before this dog goes to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, and treated for fleas.January 7, 2025, 5:57 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Thumper! My previous owner could no longer give me a home so I'm now looking for our new forever homes. I'm still young, estimated DOB 10/26/2024 and probably have some Chi and terrier in my ancestry. I'm learning so much at my foster home with other dogs and I love everyone. No kids at my foster home but I'd probably do OK with them if they can put up with my puppy antics. I love to be held and petted, give kisses, and play until I drop.   I'm just a puppy and can get into a lot of trouble so you'll need to be willing to give me lots of gentle guidance, so I can learn all those big dog things, like how to behave in a house, what a crate is for, how to walk on a leash without pulling, and all those verbal commands every dog should know. I may even treat people like I treat my sibling with rough play or decide that a new pair of shoes or a table leg would make a great chew toy, so a lot of appropriate toys should be in my future. The good news is that with the right training and LOTS of love, I'll be the best addition to your family ever and your best bud. If you are interested in me, please send an email to SCP! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to SCP for review! All dogs typically show on Saturdays from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Petco in Clear Lake at 2410 Bay Area Blvd near Space Center.   Since all our dogs are in foster homes, an individual dog may not be at our weekly Adoption Event due to conflict with a foster's schedule. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please send an email to scpdogworld@gmail.com so that the Dog Coordinator can let you know if the dog will be at the Saturday Adoption Event at Petco. If you just want to meet some great dogs looking for their forever home, please come visit with us on Saturday! The adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home.  The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.   January 14, 2025, 6:24 pm
