Story
Hi. My name is Coby and here is some info about me: Breed: Yorkshire Terrier/Malteese (Morkie)Age: 1.5 YearGender: MaleWeight:11 lbHeight: 10 inch Highlight(s): Good with other dogs, cats, people, no sign of aggression or guarding. PERFECT boy Hey there, I'm Coby. Life hasn't always been easy for me, but I've never lost hope. You see, I used to have a family. They were my world, my everything. But one day, they decided they no longer wanted me and my brother because they were welcoming a new baby  They left me and my brother outside of a shelter, and that's where my journey took a turn. My brother has since found his forever family and left me. It's been over a year now since I've been living at the shelter, but every day, I dream of finding my forever family. I may be small, but my heart is big. I get along with everyone – dogs, people, and even those mysterious creatures called cats. Playing is my favorite pastime, and I'm always up for a game of fetch or tug-of-war. Friendly is my middle name, and I'll wag my tail at anyone who crosses my path. Resource guarding? Aggression? Not in my vocabulary. I'm happy to share my space and toys with my furry friends. But deep down, I dream of something more. I dream of a family who will love me unconditionally, who will give me lots of belly rubs and scratches behind the ears. I long for daily walks, trips to the doggie park, and maybe even adventures at the beach. I want to make memories – lots and lots of fun memories – with my family by my side. So if you're out there, searching for a furry friend to bring joy and laughter into your life, look no further. I'm here, waiting patiently for someone to take a chance on me. With my adorable looks and dream dog personality, I know I'll make the perfect addition to any loving home. Are you ready to make my dreams come true? Because I'm ready to shower you with all the love and affection in my heart. Let's make memories together – forever and always. Energy Level: Medium/high requires daily physical activities. I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: yesKids: unknown, rescuer states yes, but no video proof Fears: Unknown/none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: minimal, please be patient with me. I am a very fast learner and given the opportunity, I will learn all the tricks there is in no time.Leash skills: yes. Please be prepared to continue training me.House trained:Please be prepared to help me learn where to go in my new home.  Health notes: I have been neutered, dewormed, microchipped and up to date on my vaccination. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##2106451##

THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG. DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION THROUGH US. Please contact Mona at monar_9@yahoo.com for more information or to adopt. Hi everyone, I am the handsome Hugo and here's some information about me: Age: 12.5 years old (I will turn 13 in September)Breed: Yorshire TerrierWeight: 3.5 kgGender: Neutered Male As a distinguished gentleman of advanced years, I am looking for a home where I can feel safe and be your one and only companion. I love humans (adults and older kids) and adore being cuddled, snuggling up with you under the blanket, receiving belly rubs and giving you lots of love in return! When I get particularly playful, I like to hide my toy pillow and have you find it. I'm a sensitive guy and I do get anxious when left alone. It would be great if you could take me along with you on your adventures outside the home, or if you are a homebody and spend a lot of time at home, that would suit me just fine. Consider me the perfect home companion. I know all the basic commands, and I am house trained and up to date with all my vaccines. About 4 years ago, I had a knee surgery and I am walking well, although jumping is not recommended for me. While I am generally healthy for a guy of my age, I do need daily eye drops for dry eyes and I am currently on a low fat GI dry food diet.  An adoption fee of $300 applies. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.   Please contact Mona at monar_9@yahoo.com for more information or to adopt. ##2089949##

Story
Hiya! My name is CHEWY and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed:  Yorkie and corgi mix Age:  Approx. 2 years old Gender:  Male Weight:  18.5 lbs (8.4 kg)  Height:  42 cm (paws to top of my head) Length:  58 cm (head to butt) Neck:  28 cm Chest:  46 cm Current Location:  MEXICO CITY RESCUE STORY - I’m a spunky guy in search of a second chance! I once had a home of my very own, but my “owners” decided to abandon me and my siblings in the midst of their divorce. Abandoned, all five of us, just because they thought we were in their way! We were all in pretty sad shape upon being rescued, covered in dirt and very thin. It was clear that we were not being well cared for. Thank goodness for our rescuer, they brought all of us to the shelter (see us arriving, here)! I am now healthy, thriving, and ready to find my forever family!  TEMPERAMENT - I’ve been told that I have great manners and am very intelligent. You could say I'm a smarty-pants! Just like my siblings, I’m an affectionate boy and just looove to give puppy kisses! Who is ready for all the lovin’?! I also love tortillas! ENERGY LEVEL - Medium - I enjoy playing with hoomans and my fellow doggos! Fetching the ball is my most favorite, I won’t be shy asking you to play along! Here I am playing with my stick! And here is my fainting trick! While I love to play, I also like to chill out with my brothers, especially my brother Obi! We are the best of pals! When we are apart I miss him so much and tend to bark so that we can be reunited. I really hope that we can find a loving home, together!  GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown. I haven’t had much exposure to kiddos here at the shelter.  Dogs –  You betcha! I love spending time with my siblings and my pals here at the shelter. I get along well with dogs of all sizes! No signs of resource guarding. Here's a video of me with the pack! And another video of me with other doggos. Cats – Unknown. My past experience with kitties is unknown.   PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Work in progress. I’m still learning, as you can see in this video and this video, I can get a little distracted and many times I’m walking in a group setting (video here). I will need an adopter who is happy to work with me on my leash manners. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help set me up for success! House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :) Please Note: WCP Dog Rescue partners with Unleashed Dog Training (Hannah Swain, Balanced Dog Trainer) to offer adopters 50% off one training session (not including tax and applicable gas surcharges). Any subsequent sessions will be offered at standard rates. WCP also highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.    HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying North. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $784.00 CAD including taxes (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process.
