Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application Hi, I am Bukley, a sweet Yorkshire Terrier Mix. I am a male and I am approximately 1 year old, weighing in at 10 pounds. I have a very outgoing personality, and I love attention from my human. I have an extreme amount of energy and I love to play. I came from a hoarding situation where I lived with many other dogs, so I get along great with others. I love to be in the yard and my foster mom says I can run as fast as a rabbit. I am not housebroken, but my foster mom says we are working on it. I am a young dog and just want to be loved. My ideal home would be one that has other dogs or kids because of my love for playing and socializing or with a new fur mom or dad that is looking for a full-time companion. I am up to date on all my required shots and I have been neutered, microchipped and dewormed. If you are looking for a fun, energetic pup, I am the one for you.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 20, 2024, 1:02 pm

Story
Meet Lima Bean! This 5-lb Yorkshire terrier blend is 5 years old. Lima Bean is looking to spice up the life of a wonderful forever family who can give him lots of attention and love. General Behavior: At home, this little fluffball loves to be the center of attention! He may take his time to settle in as he tends to be slow to trust; but once he does, he will give you his heart. He is a vocal pup, who will bark to express his every need or desire. Once he is satisfied, he is quiet again. He is a heavy sleeper who loves his short naps during the day, and he also sleeps well through the night. Since he is a little dog with a small bladder, he will need to have potty outings at least every 2-3 hours during the day.He is a fearless little explorer who will find his way into any small space that he wishes to investigate, so he really must be watched closely to help keep him safe and out of trouble until he settles in. Also, due to his tiny size, and fearless nature, he should always be in a harness and leash whenever out of the home. Likes & Dislikes: Lima Bean loves short walks, car rides, and meeting new people! He enjoys being held, but after a short while he wants to get down to go exploring or he will play for a few moments with a toy. He also gets super-zoomies almost every evening.. and because he goes so fast he ends up hopping instead of running because his little legs cannot keep up! He looks like a little white blur running around the house and barking his cute little bark all the while! After he's had a chance for some zoomies, he likes to take a nap, either cuddled up next to you on the couch or in his own bed. When he is awake, he is a bundle of energy.. he’s like a puppy! Training: Lima Bean is a smart cookie who has been doing a great job with his training. He does well with consistency. He's learned WAIT, and COME HERE. As for housetraining, Lima Bean does best on a routine food/potty schedule and needs to go out at least every 2-3 hours during the day. If he needs to go potty in between outings, he will continue to bark to signal his humans. Medical: Lima Bean is a healthy boy! He just needs his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Lima Bean seems to tolerate other friendly dogs, but he would be most confident and happiest being the only dog of the family. He has not been observered around cats, but he has not shown a prey drive, so he may be okay with feline friends. Children: Lima Bean is very tiny and needs to be treated gently, so he would do best in a household with only adults or families with teens who can be wary of his delicate nature. Home: Due to his talkative nature, Lima Bean will need to be in a single-family home. He’s generally quiet, but he can be very vocal and persistent when he wants or needs something. Also, since he’s tiny and needs frequent potty outings, he would require to be with someone who’s home most of the time and can regularly take him out to do his business. Grooming: Lima Bean does not shed. He is very patient and cooperative with his baths, and will cooperate with grooming once he’s comfortable with you. Overall: Lima Bean will be a great companion for someone who is patient, can be attentive to him, and who would enjoy a special relationship with this tiny cutie. Is Lima Bean the secret ingredient that's been missing from your life? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered, and he has just had his teeth cleaned. His adoption donation is $450. ##2059537##
