Story
Princess Ariel, oh how we love you so! Once we saw a video of Princess Ariel curled up in a ball sleeping in her kennel amongst all the barking at animal control, we had to find her a foster. And we are so grateful to her foster who took her in! Ariel is a super senior girl at 13-14 years old. With this age does come some medical issues, but nothing that currently requires ongoing treatment. She is dog friendly, cat friendly, and a lovebug who is quite spry for such an old girl. We love her dearly, which means we would love for her to find the perfect home to settle into and spend the rest of her golden years. She deserves at least that much. The adoption fee for Ariel is $250. This donation helps to cover veterinary expenses including spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations. Wish Upon a Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, foster based animal rescue. If you would like to meet Ariel please complete our adoption questionnaire at www.wishuponarescue.org/adopt. We will review your responses and be in contact to schedule a meet and greet at a time and place convenient for your family and our team members.

Story
Meet Muncie! This sassy senior is looking for her forever home. She's 12 pounds and around 12 years old, but don't let her age fool you... she is still full of energy and loves to play! She gets along with all other dogs and is potty trained. She is an older lady who is set in her ways and would prefer a quiet home with no young children. Adopting a senior is so very rewarding!  Muncie has stage 2 kidney disease - she is doing fine she just needs an adopter who can manage her meds and food and give her an amazing life! If you are interested in adopting/meeting , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $250 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Story
Hi, my name is Moose. I was born around 1/1 and will be a small to medium sized adult pup. I am a sweet boy with a HUGE personality. I am sweet and timid and in the next minute I am a ball of crazy energy with a big boy attitude. I love to play with toys, bark at my own shadow, and if I think my shadow barks back, I will come running to be held. You will fall in love with me immediately, I still need lots of training and patience because I am just a baby. My foster mom treats me like one with lots of snuggles, pets and kisses and when I am a super good boy she gives treats too. I work extra hard for more of the delicious tidbits.  I need a home that will teach me how to be the best big boy! I am working on going potty on puppy pads right now, I am so scared of the outside.... Have you seen it out there IT’S HUGE and cold. So, my furever home will need to help me learn not to be scared out there (treats will help) preferably when it warms up. I get scared on car rides, but I think with practice they might not be so bad. I love to play but when I’m done I want a lap to snuggle on. I will do best in a home with kids 6+ and a family home for much of the day! If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Story
Pup Meets World – Meet Topanga! Topanga is a tiny but mighty Terrier mix, born around January 1, 2025, and full of energy, love, and personality! This playful little girl is always on the move, exploring her surroundings and looking for fun. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves to be around her people, making her the perfect cuddle companion after a day of play. She is pretty vocal so we do not recommend apartment living for this young lady!  Since Topanga is teething, she would do best in a home with kids 8 and older who understand puppy play. She’s eager to learn, ready for adventure, and can’t wait to find a family to love her forever! Could Topanga be the perfect fit for you? Apply today to meet this sweet girl If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Story
Pup Meets World – Meet Corey!  Corey is a spunky and spirited Terrier mix, born around January 1, 2025, and bursting with energy, personality, and love! This little guy is always on the go, ready to play, explore, and keep you entertained with his goofy antics. He’s also very vocal, making sure you know exactly what’s on his mind—because of this, he’d do best in a home rather than an apartment where he can express himself freely. Corey is incredibly affectionate and loves being around his people, making him the perfect mix of playful and snuggly. Since he’s still teething, a home with kids 8 and older would be ideal. He’s looking for an active family who will embrace his lively nature and give him the love he deserves! Could Corey be your perfect match? Story
Angeline is a female yorkie looking for a great forever home! She is 10 years old and 4 lbs. She is a former puppy mill dog and requires a securely fenced in yard as mill dogs can be high flight risks. She gets along great with other dogs and needs a well adjusted dog in the home that she can learn from. She does not do well with cats. Unfortunately, she only has one tooth, so will need a wet/soft food diet. Angeline was found as a stray and was not reclaimed from a shelter. She can get a little feisty at the vet. Angeline is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, and HW tested negative. We require an adoption application, phone interview, virtual house check, and meet and greet with your entire family. For an adoption application, please visit us at https://www.petprofilerescue.org or at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1S5v9x1oGSYLBSfheZJ_zSvkIHoT3Fe_xnsq5V75IX9w/viewform?fbclid=IwAR0rU1zQezgZhhC_01_JpMFhujOq40cu8Xl4xKdiZ0b1L-3Pwm1Et-XI3K4&edit_requested=true If you have already submitted an application to us, email us at petprofilerescue@gmail.com to express your interest in this dog.
