Story
Jazz is a 3 yr old Yorkie mix who weighs 10#. She is very energetic and does get underfoot so would not be a good dog for a senior owner. She was returned after a 3 yr adoption due to problems with the children. For that reason, we are looking for a home with no kids or older children. We don't know if the issues were due to Jazz or the children as she has shown no signs of problems when in our foster home. Jazz is a happy and friendly dog who needs an active family.. She requires a safe, fenced in yard - no exceptions. We will not respond to applications without a fenced in yard. Also, Jazz does resource guard and may be best as an only pet for this reason. Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received. Our adoption fees include the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations (including rabies for cats / dogs over 4 months of age), flea prevention, worming, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm test for dogs over 1 yrs old, and microchipping. The location of our Adoption Center PAWS at 7282 N. Cherryvale Mall Drive . Check out all of our adoptable dogs, cats and kittens on our website at www.pawshs.org. You can also contact us on our hotline: 815/299-PAWS.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Nala and Gizmo are a bonded pair and have been together for 8 years, therefore they must be adopted together. Nala is a sweet little nugget with her big brown eyes and short legs. She loves all people and would do well in a home with respectful children twelve years or older. Her favorite spot would be on your lap receiving belly rubs. Nala and Gizmo protect each other, so being the only pups in the home would be ideal. When playtime is over, she will quietly walk away and find a cozy bed to rest. She is very laid back and doesn’t have a care in the world. Just looking at her will melt your heart. Nala will let you know when she is hungry, it’s the only time she barks. When she hears her meals being prepared, she barks until her meal is in front of her. Nala is up to date on all her vaccinations including Bordatella. She is microchipped and is taking a monthly flea/tick and Heart worm preventative. Nala and Gizmo must have a securely fenced area to relieve themselves. They both enjoy being outdoors. She is potty trained.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 12, 2024, 12:17 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Gizmo and Nala are a bonded pair and have been together for eight years and will only be adopted together. Gizmo is a laugh a minute. He loves his small toys and is addicted to small balls. Carrying them with him, dropping them in one area, and retrieving more till he has a stock pile of his treasures at your feet. Gizzy is a proud little nugget with a constant tail wag. He adores attention and is always pushing his hiney into you, In and out of your legs, just like a kitten. When Nala is exhausted from human attention, Gizmo knows it’s his turn. He treats Nala like the princess she is. Meal time is simple. They must eat in separate areas because Nala is the ruler of the roost and will steal Gizmos meals, then excuse herself graciously to go and eat her own. The two of them spend their days together snuggling, exploring outside or playing with toys. Gizmo is neutered, UTD in all vaccinations including Bordatella. He is microchipped and takes a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Gizmo and Nala must go to a home with a securely fenced area.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 12, 2024, 12:17 am

Story
Hello! My name is Dale, and I'm an 11 pound, 11-month-old male Yorkie/Poodle mix. I may be vision impaired, but that doesn't hold me back from enjoying every moment of life to the fullest! My favorite activities include romping around the yard, playing with other dogs, and spending time with people and kids. I have a big heart and a loving personality, always ready to snuggle and offer affection to those around me. Despite my vision impairment, I navigate my world with enthusiasm and joy. I have a special knack for making friends wherever I go, and I thrive on the companionship of both humans and other pets. My playful and gentle nature makes me a perfect addition to any family looking for a loyal, loving companion. If you think we could be the perfect match, please consider applying to adopt me. I'm ready to start a wonderful adventure with my furever family, filled with love, laughter, and lots of fun. Let's embark on this journey together and create beautiful memories that will last a lifetime! Dale's adoption fee is $650. **FENCE REQUIRED**

Story
Desk is a 7 year old Yorkie, and a cute one to boot! She's good with other dogs and we think she'd be fine with respectful kids since she loves anyone who will give her attention! She's loved all the new adult friends she's met and just wants all the pets she can get! Desk is definitely happiest when she's with her people, and she will follow them everywhere. She is working on potty training and is getting used to her crate, though she'd rather be with you! Desk will do well in just about any home, as long as she's with a person who will spoil her! She gets comfortable quickly and loves to nap on her bed or a soft blanket. She also likes to explore the yard at her foster home. If you're looking for a sweet and social pup who is happy to become fast friends, Desk may be just the girl for you! Apply to meet her today! Desk's adoption fee is $550.
