Story
Helene Has It came to us from a kill shelter in Indiana. This is a nice, friendly girl who is good with people & other dogs. She is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. Her approx. birth date is 02/1421 and she currently weighs 9.2# full grown.  We are guessing at her breed make up. She will not be placed with children. She has been vet. checked, spayed, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. She is heart worm & tick born illness negative. She also had a dental cleaning. Her adoption donation is $400 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with her forever home. ##2259591##

Chewbacca is the sweetest little nugget you'll ever meet who is always at your side snuggled up. He's a terrier though, so he can be feisty walking by other dogs on a leash but he's all bark and no bite. He adores his people and would do best in a home with children, another playful small dog and a family who is home often. He does mark inside on occasion but is housetrained most of the time. His fee is $850 - he is located in Houston TX and will transported upon completed adoption. FILL OUT AN APPLICATION IF INTERESTED AT: www.recycleddogsrescue.org/adoption-application

Story
Hi! I’m Kiwi! I’m about 5yrs old, 7lbs and am looking for my forever home!  I was found as a stray in poor condition but the rescue has been working hard to fix me up! I am potty trained, crate trained, and was recently spayed so I am recovering from that. I have been living with my foster parents and furry foster siblings for the last month and have been learning to come out of my shell. I am ok with dogs sometimes but need breaks when I get a little spicy. I do well with other calm small dogs under 12lbs in the home that could show me around and help build my confidence. I do not like cats.My 3 favorite things to do are play with toys, burrow in a nice warm blanket in my bed and EAT! I do a have a condition that causes me to have chronic dry eye since my tear ducts don’t produce enough to keep them moisturized. Because of this, I will need someone dedicated to applying daily eye medication multiple times a day. I’m not the biggest fan of this but my foster mom has figured out a perfect way to make the application easy and even enjoyable and she will teach you! I would really love to find a furever home that is patient and understanding and will keep me safe and warm and love me. I am extremely sweet but will need a little time to adjust and build confidence but once I do I will be one happy girl and will love all the scratches I can get! I prefer not to be picked up if possible, although I will tolerate it. I will roll over and you can pet my belly as much as you’d like though! I hope someone sees this and is ready and willing to add my cute little self to their family for good. If you are interested in me, please fill out an application at www.trackingintheshadows.com Health Concerns: Dry Eye and Luxating Patellas; would benefit from a joint supplement.  Kiwi's adoption fee is $200. She is fully vetted for 1 year, spayed, microchipped, & on monthly preventatives. Applications for adoption are at www.trackingintheshadows.com.  Please live within 1 hour of Elkhart, IN.  Once approved, we will set up a day/time for you to meet Kiwi.  Please be ready to take her home within 1-3 days. *We do not accept electric/underground fences. All dogs & cats in the home must be spayed/neutered & up to date on core vaccines & preventatives in order for your application to be approved.* ##2288051##

Story
Jill is a senior Yorkie mix with a quiet strength and a heart full of love, despite the hardship she’s endured. She spent a week alone in an empty apartment after her family moved away, left behind like she was nothing more than forgotten furniture. By the time she was brought to us, her tiny body showed signs of neglect—her fur is patchy, her skin irritated—but her spirit remains unbroken. Jill is a gentle, affectionate companion who adores people of all ages and is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes. She longs for a soft place to rest, a warm lap to curl into, and a guardian who will never abandon her again. In her golden years, she deserves to know what it feels like to be truly cherished.
