Story
Available Adorable Playful Yorkie mix Approximate DOB 8/14/2023 – About 10 lbs Charlie was surrendered for aggression. However he has been here a few weeks and is an absolute doll!! He is very sweet, loving, and just wants to play once he gets to know, trust, and love you. He is very, very smart and treat motivated. He is very sweet but has some nervous tendencies so I'm not sure what has happened in the past to cause him to be so nervous. He gets very nervous in the car and when he thinks you are going to crate him. Though I believe the issue with the crate is because he was locked in one too long and had to relieve himself in it.  Charlie is slow to trust strangers but warms up with treats and patience and watching the other dogs go to strangers for treats. He seems to do much better with women than men but I do think in time he would love anyone who loves him. I am not sure what has been his issues in his past homes I was told he didn't like other dogs and that he would bite and wouldn't let people touch him but I think if you spend time with him he comes around super fast. He is just nervous from being passed from home to home but he really just wants to be loved. Charlie is leash trained, crate trained, house trained, dog door trained, and eager to please. He now gives kisses when told as well and when we went to the vet recently he was a perfect little gentleman - no barking, whining, nothing just a nice sweet little boy.     Charlie loves to play with other dogs. I don't think he has met a dog he didn't like here. He is also interested in the cats but keeps his distance as he is smaller than mine so doesn't trust them. He would do wonderful in a home with a loving, interactive person he can follow around and cuddle on the couch with.  Adopters interested in meeting him please be aware he will take some time and treats to warm up. This cute sweet little boy has been through so much in his short life so he doesn't trust quickly but once he does he is an absolute gem. I was told he can ride a waterboard thing but I believe that was before he became so stressed from having to join new home after new home now he just needs a safe person that will show him unconditional love.   Neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations - Fee $250 We do welcome out-of-state adoptions.
