Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This just makes my blood boil.  RUSSELL was found in his neighborhood by a good Samaritan who took hi in.  His coat was completely overgrown and he was covered in fleas.  The day she brought him to me I just happened to have an appointment with my vet clinic.  He was given a SNAP 4DX text for heartworms and tick borne diseases and all were negative.  After a very thorough examination he was determined to be very healthy.  I have been watching him closely in my home to make sure we are not missing anything.  Nope, RUSSELL runs around and plays with the other dogs, he goes to the back door to be let out to potty and cries to be let back in. RUSSELL is 11 years young and 8.5 pounds.  He is microchipped but his owners will not respond to me even after I text and told them I would be placing him in a new home.  He has spunk and loves to get treats.  He does need a dental as he has plaque build up from neglect.  He climbs the stairs to stay with me and the pack and he is quick.  He acts like he is maybe 8 years old and I suspect he has quite a few years left in him. He has a cataract in his right eye but it does not affect his sight, he can see well and he gets around very good.   If you are interested in adopting RUSSELL please submit an application on the website below.  Locals are welcome to meet him anytime.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         August 20, 2024, 5:13 am

Story
BIGS was suspected to possibly have hip or knee sensitivity at the shelter and required some X-rays to trouble shoot.X-rays found no conclusive evidence of anything wrong. Bigs was described as a two year old dog in an eighty year old body 😞.At first he was timid and would be found hiding under furniture and creeping out occasionally 😞- I really think this accounted for his weird posture and soreness. He came to RTDR with severe diarrhea. We got two scripts and fed pumpkin daily. We got that under control and solved but it took 10 days 😞.Bigs WAS under 4lbs when he came home with me and is NOW 4.5lbs and growing 😃.He is a healthy pup and playing and begging for ❤️.He is scheduled to be neutered next week- he is very humpy and then will be ready to find his furever! He is cat and dog friendly He howls! He will need to be in the room you are sleeping in IF you don’t want to hear him howl 🤣 He is NOT potty trained- typical littlePlease submit an Adoption Application here: www.rocthedogsrescue.com
