Story
This little guy needs a lot of attention that unfortunately my schedule cannot support any longer. I love him to death, so it will be important for me to find the right home for him. Some of his favorite things are playing fetch. He has a lot of energy even though he is 10. If you throw the ball, he will bring it back. He loves toys and usually has them all over the house. He loves to cuddle on a soft blanket laying between your legs. He is a sunbather. He loves to be near a window so he can see outside. The ideal candidate would be an older person that is at home a lot, a fenced in backyard would be recommended so he can go to the bathroom away from other people and dogs. He does like people and dogs, but it takes him a while to get comfortable with someone new. He does pee a lot because he has a small bladder, so taking him out often is suggested otherwise he will have accidents in the house. High energy, but adorable personality for the right person.

Story
Rosie is a 3 yr old Yorkie-Maltese mix who weighs around 10 lbs. She came to us from a hoarding/breeding situation in a home with 29 dogs.  Despite coming from a hoarding home Rosie is surprisingly friendly.  She enjoys having toys to play with and gets along nicely with other small dogs and she would like to have another small doggie companion in her adoptive home.  Rosie is crate-trained and is learning house training quickly; however, she will need someone with patience to ensure her continued success. Rosie is just starting leash walking.  We are requiring a securely fenced yard for Rosie so she can have the opportunity to play safely supervised in her own yard, a fenced yard helps with housetraining and most importantly it is an added layer of safety because Rosie is quick!  Rosie’s hair requires regular combing as it is not the fine type that mats easily; however, her hair grows fast, so her adopter needs to be up for frequent grooming.  The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com. There is an application process and adoption fee. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, with gaps no greater than 2 inches, and attached to the home - meaning you have an inside door that opens into the fenced yard. An invisible fence, enclosed patio, terrace or deck, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500February 23, 2025, 12:58 am

Story
Ella is a 3 yr old Yorkie-Maltese mix who weighs about 9 lbs. She came to us from a hoarding/breeding situation in a home with 29 dogs.  Despite coming from a hoarding home Ella is surprisingly social and friendly.  Her hair is silky soft and requires combing and regular grooming, which she has done well with so far. Ella is a happy, bouncy girl who likes to engage with people and other small dogs. Her adoptive home should preferably have another small social dog under 15 pounds. Coming to us from a hoarding situation means everything is new to Ella, including house training; however, her foster mom says she is learning quickly. Ella will need someone with patience to help her continue to be successful. Ella has not learned leash walking yet.  We are requiring a securely fenced yard for Ella so she can have the opportunity to play safely supervised in her own yard, a fenced yard helps with housetraining and most importantly it is an added layer of safety because Ella is fast!
