Meet Sugar, the Sweetest Little Yorkie-Poo on the Block! At just 2 years old and a petite 10 pounds, Sugar is a pint-sized pooch with a heart full of love--ready to steal your heart with her big, soulful eyes and a personality that’s just as sweet as her name. A Bit About Sugar’s Story: Sugar’s early life wasn’t exactly a walk in the park. This brave little lady was rescued from a puppy mill and spent some time on her own in the great outdoors, fending for herself. Because of this, she’s still learning how to be a carefree, happy pup. She’s making huge strides every day, but she’ll need a home where someone can be with her a good part of the time (she'd make a great work from home buddy!)—and she absolutely needs a playful furry sibling who’s around her size (or a bit bigger) to help her continue her journey. Sugar simply cannot be an only dog; she needs a fur-pal to show her the ropes! Sugar’s Personality: Sugar is like that shy kid who’s finally discovering the joys of recess. She’s starting to play, she’s looking curiously at the toy box, and she’s even begun to enjoy walks around the neighborhood with her furry foster siblings. With time and patience, she’ll be the belle of the ball! Sugar is a pro at giving kisses—seriously, she’s got an endless supply—and she’s slowly but surely gaining confidence. She sleeps in the 'big' bed with her foster mom and siblings with no issues. Housebreaking & Training: Sugar does not love being in a crate but does well gated in an area of the home when her foster parents have to leave. Potty training is going veyr well but is still a work in progress. hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day! Sugar occasionally succumbs to the allure of a tasty charging cord or a tempting leather belt, so her new family will need to keep an eye out. But with gentle, consistent correction (no harsh words for this sensitive soul!), she’ll continue to thrive and grow. More About the Perfect Home for Sugar: Since Sugar is only two, she needs the security of a forever family young enough to offer her a lifetime of love. She needs a home where someone can be with her a lot of the day - she'd make a great work from home buddy or companion for empty nesters. She needs to be part of a pack with at least 1 other small playful dog. Sugar would do best in a home without small children. And of course, she needs a family who understands that love, patience, and a little bit of humor will go a long way in helping her become the joy-filled pup she is meant to be.
