Story
This is Lola!! She is an eight year old morkie and one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet. She is always excited to see you and LOVES people as soon as she sees their face!! She is extremely playful, so I suggest that she is put in a home with someone who will be willing to play with her a lot! She loves bike rides and walks, although she does love biting the leash. She is not aggressive, but she does have anxiety so certain situations make her very vocal when she can become anxious. She also suffers from seizures once and awhile, and ADHD. Right now her vet bills are the same as a normal pups. We hope for Lola to end up in a family who loves their animals unconditionally and that will have enough energy for her!! She is so loving and sweet, and we will miss her so much. With our work schedule, we are rarely ever home and she is always alone. She needs to be in a great family who can be with her more than we can. Message me if you are interested!

Meet Josie! 🧚‍♀️ Josie checked into TRI on July 2nd! After being used to breed for the past 9 years, she's readily accepted her new life as a cherished pet! Josie is a 9 year old silver yorkie who weighs about 8.8 pounds. When she arrived, she had double ears infections and tested positive for lyme disease. Her ears are much better now and on the mend, she Josie finished her meds for lyme disease (recheck in 6 months). Josie is in foster care with dogs of all sizes. She brings her foster mom joy each day and a lot of smiles! Josie will make someone who is looking for a small dog very happy. Meet Bailey! Little Miss Bailey checked into foster care at The Rescue Inn a little bit ago! She's been bounced around too much in her short little life, so she's ready to find her forever home! Bailey was born 12/2/2023 so she's 8 months old right now. We think she is a Morkie - Maltese and Yorkie. She could have some other small breed in her, of course. Here's the scoop on Bailey: 🥎 Bailey weighs 8.5 pounds. 🥎 True to being a small breed puppy, Bailey is energetic! 🥎 Bailey has been bounced around, so she does get nervous and barks when she meets new people and dogs. Once she gets to know others and trusts you, she's basically a candy cane (super sweet). 🥎 Bailey is a puppy that hasn't had much structure before, so she does the puppy nibbling with her teeth when she's nervous, over playful or when her foster mom takes her harness on and off. So she'll need her new family to help work with her on some basic training. 🥎 Bailey is doing pretty well with potty training in her short stay with us thus far. So far, she has not had many accidents in the house because her foster mom takes her out on a schedule as she learns.
