Story
Meet Mylo Eli, a 4-year-old, tan, 12-pound terrier/Yorkie mix with a unique personality and a lot of love to give to the right person. Mylo Eli came to us as a transfer from Baytown Animal Shelter, and while he has some quirks, he's full of potential for the right home. Mylo Eli is a dog with boundaries and would do best in an adult-only home where those boundaries are respected. He needs a patient and understanding family willing to work with him at his own pace. Initially timid, Mylo Eli is kennel aggressive and takes time to warm up to new people. He chooses when he's ready for affection and will let you know when he needs his personal space or if he's uncomfortable. A slow and gentle approach is key when meeting him. Once Mylo Eli feels comfortable, his true character shines through. He enjoys pets on his back, and is fully potty trained. He's also a fan of car rides and loves showing off his tricks, like sitting and laying down on command. Mylo Eli is quite playful and enjoys playing with his favorite toys. Despite losing an eye in a dog fight-an incident that was not started by Mylo Eli-he remains dog-friendly and enjoys being part of a playgroup with other doggie friends. His resilience and positive attitude make him a special pup with a lot of love to share. Mylo Eli is looking for a home where he can feel safe, respected, and loved. With the right approach and a little patience, Mylo Eli could bring a lot of joy to your life. Could you be the one to give him the forever home he deserves? Would not do well in an apartment. I have a routine and stay with it. I sleep in bed usually under the covers. I wake up and go outside for potty come in eat go back outside for another potty. Then I find my way to the couch and use stairs to get up there. Lay there until grandma gets up then I sit by her chair waiting for some of her toast.
