Story
Meet Sage, a sweet 5 year old, 8 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Hey everybody, it's February. Foster mommy tells me there's a sweet holiday in this month and I can't wait to learn about it. She calls it Valentine's Day and that there's a Cupid guy flying around with a bow and arrow matching pups like me and people like you together fur furever. I am ready for you to find me and my heart and take us home with you. Since my last update, I have gotten really, really brave. I've learned how to navigate the whole house so I am feeling more and more comfortable here even if it took a while. My new thing is I'm going into the living room where foster mommy and the rest of the pups hang out and I'm wanting to hang out and nap with them. I let Foster mommy know when I want to get on or off the couch by putting my paws on her. Sometimes I even try and become a lapdog and try and sloth my way on her lap while she's answering emails and stuff so I'm learning how to share my love with my foster mommy now. The other day when we were all outside doing yardwork, I walked for the first time all the way around the covered pool two times. It was such a beautiful day outside. I decided to take to just chill on the sidewalk. So I'm getting braver and braver outside too. I don't know about that grass stuff tho but I guess with time I'll learn how to walk on that too. In December, I had my yearly check up. Everything looked good. So I'm good to go for another year. I do have to go see my eye doctor this month so she can check my eyes. I have to go twice a year. I don't need eye drops , but we want to make sure I'm not getting dry eye. But as you can see in my pictures I have the most beautiful eyes. So that's about what's new with me. If you have any questions you can reach out to Foster mommy At stickhors@gmail.com If you have any extra dollars in your wallet or purse, could you think about donating o United Yorkie Rescue. Your donations to them is what has helped me with all of my medical bills. Thank you so much, Sage

Story
Meet Cole, a 10-12 year old, 10 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Say hello to Cole, one of the first United Yorkie Rescue rescues of 2025. Cole found himself as a stray drop off at a Fort Worth shelter on Christmas Eve. He had to go through a stray hold to enable his owners to find him. Well, they never showed up. The shelter reached out to UYR and asked if we could help this little guy out. How could we say no to this little gentle soul? Well at the shelter, he was given his heartworm test which was negative plus given all of his required adult vaccinations and had a microchip implanted and he started his heartworm and flea and tick preventative and is in pretty good health for what their guesstimating his age to be. I can tell as the days go by that this guy was a family pet. He nuzzles up to you with his nose and pushes your arm to let you know he wants attention and to be petted. He goes to the back door when he wants to go outside and he gets very excited at supper time. He quickly learned where his special feeding spot was. He may have been a one person pup at one time in his life as he quickly attached himself to me.

Story
Meet Jenny, a beautiful little 6 pound little adult Yorkie girl being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Hello to all of our UYR family, friends and the rest of the world. I want to introduce myself to you. My name is Jenny and I am the newest and pawsitively the cutest girl at Stickhorse Ranch. I arrived at the Ranch on March 6. So we are just beginning to learn about each other. Foster mom does know these things. I weigh in at 6 pounds. My age is unknown as I was a surrendered stray but I am definitely not a puppy. I am a more mature lady and my Dogter will guesstimate about how old I could be. I have an appointment to see our favorite dogter so he can give me a thorough examination and give me those shots I need, check for a microchip. If I don't have a microchip, we will put one in and to see if I have been spayed or not as foster mommy cannot find a spay scar or a tattoo on my tummy because I am a very wriggly girl and won't hold still for her for more than one second. I have an appointment with the eye dogter specialist also to look at my right eye as we don't know what's going on in that eye and whether I can see out of that eye or not. Since I have been here I have shown my foster family that I will go to the door if I have to go outside and do my business. I have had a couple of inside boo boos. I am also a very picky eater. I haven't played with any toys yet. I do enjoy exploring. So I've been very busy exploring the house and the backyard quickly. I learned the ramps and how to get on top of the couch so I can look out the window like the other pups here. FM believes that I am a very very smart girl and will learn my boundaries, commands and maybe a couple of tricks. I guess we will wait and see.

Story
💙 ADOPT LOGAN 💙 Logan is between 2-3 years old, 10 pounds, and a yorkie mix. He’s been with us for a bit over a month, being treated for a really bad skin infection, that was caused by scabies. He’s about 60% healed but will need to continue having medicated baths twice a week, while he heals the rest of the way. Logan’s a really happy dog, he loves to play, snuggle, and get lots of booty scratches. He hasn’t met anybody who isn’t a friend! He loves kids, dogs, people, as long as you’re giving him lovens, he’s a friend for life! He recently had his teeth cleaned and a few baby teeth pulled. He was also vaccinated, had a 12 month heartworm prevention shot, and he’s microchipped. Logan’s fur will continue filling in, as his skin heals. He’s not itchy or showing any signs of discomfort, it’s just gonna take some time. He loves dinner time, walks, and any chance to snuggle, he’s a happy camper!
