Story
Poppet is an approximately 9 week old (as of 1/18) female yorkie mix. She is extremely small, weighing just at 2 pounds. Her mom is a yorkie mix weighing about 5 pounds while dad is unknown. Poppet is a sweet and energetic puppy that loves to hang with the other dogs in her foster home and her foster humans. She is young, so her personality continues to come out as she grows. She is not potty trained yet but working on it, and a new home would also need to expect to continue potty training (as well as all the other training that comes with raising a puppy!) Due to her current and expected adult size being so small, she will need a very secure fence and living area so that she can’t easily escape or find herself lost. Poppet would do best in a home with other dogs and humans that are home often enough to train a teacup size puppy. Poppet is too small currently for her spay, so she will need to wait til she’s over 12 weeks old. We will work with any potential adopters on the best option for either getting her to her spay appointment or waiting until she’s big enough before moving in with a new family. She has had her age appropriate vaccines, but will need to complete her rounds in a furever home. If you are interested in adopting Poppet. Her adoption fee is $450. We do not adopt outside of the state of Texas. ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://texassweetiesdogrescue.my.site.com/s/adopt

Story
Meet Riley, a 13 year old, 9 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Georgetown, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Hello to all my potential furever families! My name is Riley and I am so so so happy to have been rescued by the UYR team! The picture UYR took of me was right after my haircut. It's the first haircut I have had in over 18 months. I still was not certain that anything had changed for me and I don't look very happy. I don't know time, but I can tell you that I feel like I was put in jail for some reason that I don't understand. I don't have too much memory about all of that time, I just know I was always hungry, itchy, and hurting. Foster Mom says I was depressed because of the NEGLECT. She says that word has to be in all capitals because it's a very bad word. I was once a very happy healthy 12 lb yorkie boy. But something in my life changed and I was no longer being cared for like I once was. Nobody was feeding me regularly, taking me outside in the sunshine regularly, or getting my haircut regularly. The NEGLECT during this time has made me drop down to 9 lbs, have very red and swollen feet and skin, infected ears, and bowed out legs. Foster Mom says no furbaby should ever lose a fourth of their entire body in such a short period of time!!!! The NEGLECT is very very bad indeed! All the nice people at UYR and my new dogter have said I never have to worry about the NEGLECT again. I still have a ways to go yet, but I am feeling much better. I have foster siblings to play with, am taking medicine, eating regularly, taking nice baths, and taking short walks out in the sunshine! Foster Mom says all of this will help me heal from the NEGLECT. I am also starting to dream about a furever family. I would like a family that will let me continue to do all of these things and never ever ever think about the NEGLECT again. Thank you for listening to my story and considering making me your furever baby. Foster Mom said she will send new pics once I've had a chance to heal some more. If you can help the good people at UYR continue their mission of rescuing other furbabies like me, please click the link below my story and donate. Your help makes for happy endings! Hugs and Kisses -- Riley

Story
Reese was adopted in Jarrell, TX from a breeder. He is a 8 year old adult Yorkie mix. Reese loves to go on walks (he owns the road), he enjoys sitting on the couch, and goes crazy for cheese and Pupperoni treats. Reese is fun, relaxed, and family friendly. Reese is trained to do many tricks or to follow certain commands (spin, sit, lay, bed, cage, down, out >> to go outside) and he is easy to care for. He loves to go on adventures in the car or to be carried around in a large purse or bag for fun! He has to have his head out to see the world though! He also loves to sleep cuddled up in a cozy pet bed or a blanket (he loves blankets!) We are looking for a single person, an elderly person, a small or large family to take Reese so that he can get all the personal attention that he desires. Want to keep the pack together? He is bonded to another male dog named Levi. He is available as well. Check out his profile!

Story
Meet precious Autumn, an 5-6 year old, 8 pound Yorkie girl being fostered in Georgetown, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Oh my goodness! We have a lot to share about this absolutely adorable little girl. She has been with her foster family for 2 months and what an absolute fun, energetic, kind lovable angel. She is full of life and she never stops playing, eating, and being a love bug. If your family has a very very playful Yorkie and a playful large dog then this is the baby you have been looking for. Autumn would be best with another young Yorkie that wants a buddy to be by her side...she is very energetic and wants to be on the go every minute.. Autumn will get in your lap and snuggle in your arms then turn her face sideways so she can get lots of kisses. She loves to be outdoors, go for walks, (could use a little training on that part) lol ride in the car, and most of all play play play. She would do best with someone that is home most of the time since she does thrive on attention and play time. She has no aggression to other dogs, people, or food...she respects other dogs' space and eating time. Autumn hasn’t been around children at her foster home but children around 8 or older would be perfect for them because she loves to be playful and go for walks. I forgot to mention that she is very spoiled! She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, had her dental. If you think sweet Autumn is a baby that can add so much fun to your family please email foster mom at uyrtxbets@gmail.com

Meet precious Autumn, an 5-6 year old, 8 pound Yorkie girl being fostered in Georgetown, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Pupdate: This little girl is so active and adorable at the same time..She is quite the jumper like waist high (lol) Feeding time is lots of excitement with squealing, barking, crying and then gobble all the food... Autumn loves other dogs big and small but especially her foster yorkie brother..She would be a great new family member if you like lots of kisses and lap time. When foster mom goes to bed she crawls up and lays her head under the foster moms chin and chest. She can't get close enough..of course mom lays there and doesn't move for at least an hour until Autumn decides to just lay between foster mom and dad for the rest of the night. She is potty trained, loves to ride in the car, and of course goes for her daily walk.. as I am writing her bio she is in my lap giving me kisses Autumn hasn't been around small children but would be a wonderful companion for older children 8 or older. Story
Meet Violet, a 10 pound, 2-3 year old Yorkie girl being fostered in Southern Texas. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Miss Violet recently came to UYR with her 2 brothers, Theo and Nugget who were in an abusive home situation. Violet, who is about 3 years old, didnt have a lot of exposure to humans and the outside world. She is a very very sweet girl who takes time to warm up and then falls in love with you. With strangers it takes time to get to know you and then she barks at you next time she sees you. lol lol.She is starting to relax and now zooms around and plays with the puppy in her foster home. She is having fun being outside and greeting new strangers that walk by her yard with a bark that protects her new home. We are waiting to see if this little girl may have some babies of her own so we will have to get back to you on that one soon. Miss Violet will be a wonderful addition to a family who has patience and is willing to help her transition to a loving companion. She would thrive with a family where there are no children so she can slowly get used to her new space. If you would like more information on Miss Violet please email her foster at UYRtxbets@gmail.com
