We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Meet Lilianna! She is a 4-year-old, 22 lb, Yorkie Terrier mix who was found as a stray in CA and is currently in a foster home. She is shy and skittish, and it will take some time to win her heart. She can be nervous and does not enjoy long car rides or new places. She is potty trained/house trained. She is a happy dog with lots of energy. She is very smart and playful with other dogs. She would love to have another dog in the home. She could possibly be an only dog but she would need a home where someone is home most of the time. She is extremely smart but has a sense of independence. She's stubborn and will listen when she's ready. She is a high flight risk since she won't come on command. She is quick and will dart out an open door and can be an escape artist. Due to her tendency to run, we are looking for a home for her within a 10-mile radius of the Edmonds area. We are looking for an adult only home for her with no children or grandchildren. She is spayed and microchipped. She's up to date on vaccination, and her fee is $550.

Story
Animal Profile: Bella was found running in traffic in Turlock, but luckily wound up at animal services instead of meeting an untimely demise. She’s dog friendly, and social with people but has little experience on leash. She’s estimated to be 5 years old and weighs 15lbs. She’s exudes that scruffy, sassy terrier charm. Foster Update: With her scruffy fur, short legs, and round body, and endearing underbite, Bella looks like an adorable Terrier + Corgi + Pekinese mix. Bella is a typical terrier type; she’s opinionated and needs someone to let her know it’s not her job to police things. She can be tentative when first meeting new people, but does warm up quickly after proper intros. She needs someone that can advcocate for her space and help others understand that she doesn't necessarily want to be friends with strangers. For that reason, we are not considering homes with young children for her. Bella has made great strides on her leash manners in foster care, this girl is even treadmill trained! She can be reactive if she is allowed to lead the walk. Bella is social with other dogs, but doesn’t appreciate new dogs right up in her face. She’s comfortable providing firm, but fair corrections if a dog steps over the line. She is not a dog that would enjoy the dog park. Bella is currently living with another dog and exists peacefully with him. She would be ok with or without a respectful canine companion in her forever home. Bella is house trained, crate trained, and looking for a home with dog experience. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Turlock Animal Services. Arriving  to Seattle area foster care on 08/25/2024. He will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.March 17, 2025, 8:03 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Mochi is a 1-year-old (DOB 11/30/23) 10 lb male "Morkie" (Yorkie Maltese  with known purebred parents) who was purchased for a hefty sum as a puppy and lovingly raised by an individual who can no longer care for him due to personal life changes. He was being left alone 12 hours a day and she made the difficult decision to surrender him to our rescue partner. Mochi is social and friendly with people and dogs. We will share more info as we get to know him in foster care.  * Mochi will be neutered prior to adoption * Foster Update: Mochi is a sweet lil guy who wants to hang with his people. He does well with the resident dogs in the house and doesn't show much interest in playing with them. He enjoys cuddling with his people on the couch. Mochi is doing well with house training but will need continued practice. He does well in the crate. He comes to his name in the house but otherwise does not seem to have much basic obedience. Mochi arrived with some matts on his body and will need a forever home that will continue care with his grooming.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was purchased from a "breeder" as a puppy and owner surrendered to our rescue partner 3/20/25. He will be arriving via Tail Lights Rescue Project on Sunday 3/23 and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care. March 28, 2025, 6:50 pm
