Story
Please contact Pet (information@pethelpersinc.org) for more information about this pet.   Gutherie! Oh where do we start with this little guy? He is more of a “You can look but can’t touch” kinda guy! If you are looking for a cuddler or lap dog Guthrie is probably not your guy! He might also be Gremlin. He kinda looks like someone fed him after midnight. “This land is my land, and this land is my land!” That is Gutherie’s motto. Gutherie thinks he is a big herding dog. He feels the needs to herd all the other dogs in the home to keep them in line. Especially at dinner time! Gutherie lets you pet him. On his terms! If you try to pick him up and hold him, he acts like a screaming goat who found out the store was out of his favorite feed. We think he was not handled much. He came from a hoarder with many others. On a good note he is not a biter! Except that one time. Gutherie does not want long walks on the beach or shopping trips to Target. He would rather fly around your house like a 5lb feral pigeon. Gutherie loves other dogs and does not mind cats. He is not a fan of kids. We do not actually know that. However, we do not think he is a fan of humans all together. Is he house trained? Who really knows at this point. He does go outside. You would need a fenced yard or preferably a cement wall like they put around castles. Maybe even a moat. Otherwise, he will be running around the neighborhood telling people they’re his b!”@$! Gutherie is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He did test positive for Lymes, but is being treated for it. Click the link to apply if we have sold you on this little dreamboat. https://www.pethelpersinc.org/adoption-application/   Adoption Fees: PUPPIES (under 1 year) $250.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm/lyme test (if applicable), two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medicine and microchip. ADULT DOGS (over 1 year) $225.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, first set of routine yearly vaccines, heartworm/lyme test, two rounds of dewormer, one  round of flea medication, and Microchip. KITTENS AND CATS $100.00,   Includes spay or neuter,  vaccine according to their age, two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medication, felv/fiv test, and microchip. For more information on this animal email adoptionisforever@pethelpersinc.org. Pet Helpers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foster based volunteer rescue located in Fairmont, WV.  We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet.  We do not fly or use transport companies.  Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens.  Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough.  If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done.  All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet.  All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7.  The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family.  You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval.  This will enable us to accept another pet into that home.  Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered. If for any reason you are unable to keep the pet you have adopted you are required to return them to Pet Helpers, Inc.  They are not to be sold or given away.   Check us out on Facebook!!!!!!  We hope you will give us two paws up, like our page and share with your friends.  Pet Helpers, Inc. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Penny came to us from a breeder in southern West Virginia.  It has taken her a little time to get acclimated to living indoors. She is a very laid-back Yorkie And prefers to spend her days snuggled in a nice, comfy dog bed.   She absolutely has to have a fenced in yard and would prefer to have someone home during the day or with another dog. She has been working on her house, training skills and learning how to go in and out side to the back yard. Because she has lived most of her life outside. She enjoys being out in a fenced in area.penny has had multiple litters of puppies and she is now ready to relax and just be someone's pet.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 11, 2024, 9:11 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Paws Crossed Dog Rescue serves the Eastern Panhandle of WV and nearby areas.  Please read ADOPTION INFO on the left side of our website to learn about the adoption application process.   Lillian comes to us from southern WV.  Her previous guardian passed away.  Lillian's just ready for a relaxed, quiet, comfortable home, like she's ready for a retirement community!!!  We think she's around 6 years old, but could be younger or older...it's hard to tell.  She might be 5 and have lived a hard life thus far.  We're just not sure of her actual age. Lillian would do best in a home with another small breed canine sibling, as she loves to cuddle with other dogs. She does fine with other dogs, but we're not sure if she's cat friendly.  We recommend no small children, as she's an older gal who wants quiet and limited activities. She's fine with kids older than 10.  She's cautious around new people. She's not so much a runner, but could be difficult to catch if she got away.  Lillian is super sweet, loves to lick her human's hand, and is a very nice girl.  She's working on her house training skills, so be prepared to continue her path to being fully house trained.  She's not totally comfortable on a leash, so that will also be part of her continuing education!   She'll require a fully fenced, secure yard.  No electric fencing, no underground fencing, and no doggy door.  These are not negotiable topics. Email inquiries can be made to PawsCrossedDogRescue@yahoo.com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 11, 2024, 9:11 pm
