Story
Meet Madeline! Hello there everyone, my name is Madeline, and it's time for me to find my forever home! As an adult lady weighing just 10 pounds who gets along with dang near everyone I've met, it shouldn't be too hard, one wouldn't think. I do prefer a more calm household, with calm fur friends (dogs AND cats!) and calm children if there are any in the home. I go potty on pee pads in the house, but I'm certainly not opposed to learning to go potty outside, and I do, just not enough to consider me house trained. I'd love to have a fenced yard, but it's certainly not necessary. I really enjoy being close to my people, and I would be content with riding along with you in a purse or sling so I could go everywhere with you. I enjoy car rides, and I prefer wet food over kibble. I need a new human who will be patient with helping me learn it's okay to go potty outside all the time, and understand that I like to be with my humans as much as possible! Maybe you work from home, or I can go to work with you? *Madeline is being fostered in the Cottage Grove area. Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $300, ($550 for a pair). Story
Meet Benji! Age: Senior Weight: 20 pounds (give or take. Who still weighs themselves?) Good with: Dogs, cats, kids (the perfect teifecta!) Houstrained: yes (but do best on a schedule and should be let out every 4-5 hours to avoid accidents). Crate trained: I don't need one because I just snooze while you're away! Special needs: blind, but get around great and diabetic, but easy peasy lemon squeezy! I'm a pretty easy-going, fun-loving little dude. I might not see with my eyes, but given just a little adjustment period, I see everything in all the other ways! I can jump up on the couch for a nap, or to sit with my humans, and I love being outside exploring the fenced yard in my foster home, but i also know how to walk on a leash for some great sniffaris. I love car rides, too! Foster mom says I'm the easiest diabetic dog she's ever had, and I don't even need special food, I just eat the kibble like everyone else here, and I do wonderful with it. I hope you can see past my special needs and see that I can be just like any other pup! *Benji is being fostered in Edgar, WI. Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs! To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on September 6th and arrive on September 7th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 8/11/2024 Dog Name: Sissy Sex: Female Estimated Breed Mix: Yorkie/Shih Tzu Approximate Age:1.5 Years Approximate Weight: 8 lbs Adoption Fee: $550 Description: Sissy was found in a rural Texas town in horrible condition. It is obvious that her young life has been filled with neglect and abuse. Her poor little body was encased in matted hair and unfortunately her vision is now severely impaired due to the neglect. It seems that she has never been groomed before and was in a lot of pain from how tight the matted hair was to her skin and feet. Regardless of the hard life she has lived, Sissy is so very grateful and feeling so much better. She has such a will to live and now knows that people can be kind. We believe she sees shadows and has not had any issues learning where her food/water bowls are. She is as sweet as can be and loves to give kisses and be carried around. She loves to run around and we believe she can live a happy and normal life with the right family. She deserves to be loved and spoiled the rest of her life.   We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. August 15, 2024, 9:27 pm
