Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.  Currently in Grand Junction, we are happy to transport for a serious adopter!Alcatraz is ready to bust out and find himself a perfect home! This boy loves attention and will roll for rubs He’s still young and likes to play so be ready for some action! A small family with a quiet home would suit him best as he will develop upper respiratory symptoms in stressful situations. He would get along well with a younger cat who can match his energy! We don’t know how he does with dogs but a gentle, cat friendly dog might work for him. Children 12 and over.  Born November 2023.  foster: rh Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under)    $125 for cats (older than 6 months)    $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
My Momo is 6 1/2 years old. I adopted him 2 years ago. He so very sweet and m realizing that my small dog who ignores Momo) and my 4 1/2 year old female Siamese just arent his idea of a safe place. Hes very stressed with us even though we are chill here. The first 4 years of his life were with another family with 3 other cats that bullied poor Momo so badly that I think hes carrying that baggage. I say he a complicated little guy. Hes cautious about everything. And Im realizing that my house isn’t good for him. I believe hed do really well as an only pet with adults who live a quiet life. I;ll throw in a cat tree if you want one. He likes to hang out in the many that I have, looking out windows and laying in sunshine. There hasnt been any hissing or claws, just that Momo is very distrusting. A patient person, in a small apt, will be a good fit, and will fall in love with this guy. Hes sweet, purrs a lot, is a bit cross eyed. Hes a cool guy. He is loved.
