Story
This gorgeous Abyssinian mix is Mama Garden. She is the mama of 5 beautiful babies and is very lucky to have found her way to a rescue so she and her babies can thrive in a foster home and ultimately find forever loving homes. Garden is about 2 years old, is very friendly and loving, doesn’t play much, but makes up for it with attention, and she loves to eat! She is especially attached to Rowan, but would be a great pair with any of her babies or with another cat in the adoptive home that she can make friends with. We have no knowledge of how she is with dogs or young children. If interested in meeting her for adoption, please complete an application at rescueangelssomd.com. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FVRCP and rabies vaccinated, microchipped, FeLV/FIV tested, dewormed, and clean and healthy. Indoor homes only, no declawing, and serious committed adopters only.

These pups are in Washington, District of Columbia too!

Story
Rosie (Rosalita) and Leo (Leonardo) are a brother and sister bonded pair originally from the naval base in Guantanamo Bay Cuba. They have the craziest backstory and biggest personalities to go with it. Rosie - a real cats cat. Skittish but will cozy up to you immediately for treats and food Leo - snuggly, silly, Velcro cat who loves to be right by your side They are very attached and I could never imagine separating them. I’ve had them for seven years and am moving but unfortunately can’t take them with me. I want to find them the very best home, they are very special and loved cats.

Story
Male, Domestic Shorthair , 10 years old Joel a very calm mature adult is new to the rescue and we can't wait to find out more about them. If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a CAT: https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adoptable-cats.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats. Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP. Cats are tested for FIV and when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care. Kittens have age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. Kittens born in care to a negative mother will not receive a FIV/FeLV test. An adopter will need to agree to cover costs of spay/neuter when he/she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue his/her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as he/she grows older. Kittens under 12 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs or to a home with friendly resident feline. They will not be considered as singles.
