Kahu came to us as a stray. She needs some confidence building and at this time we are lacking some information about how she will be in a home environment, so she is currently in foster so we can learn more about her. She has met a few dogs at the shelter and has not been very interested in play, but rather enjoys sharing space and sniffing the environment. We believe she may have had at least one litter before coming to the shetler, and will be spayed as soon as possible. She needs an adoptive home that will focus on building her confidence over time. Once comfortable, she walks nicely on leash.

WEIGHT: 96lbs Meet Maverick- This big ol' boy came to us from our friends over at The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter where he is brought in as an owner surrender. His previous owners felt that they could not give him the kind of life he deserved due to their work schedules and not be home throughout the day. Given his size, Mav is a big strong guy, an adopter who can physically handle him is a must! He has been doing well with other dogs here, but he is a little too interested in cats, so a feline-free home is probably best. If you'd like to meet him, feel free to call our adoptions desk or stop by during Browsing Hours: Wed-Sun 11-5.
