Story
Maria is a 4 month old Great Pyrenees/Akbash mix who was born outside on a sheep farm with her siblings Leo and Riley. They were just surrendered to GRRAND, and have not lived in a house yet, but have responded well in the kennel, and seem to be relatively calm pups with a really great temperament. They are very easy puppies to manage with laid back personalities, and we do not want them to be in the kennel for long, so we are desperately tring to find them a foster home or their forever families ASAP! They are keeping their kennel run clean, it appears, but will certainly need some help with house and crate training. Up to this point, they lived in a setting with 9 other dogs, so they are great with dogs and should also be fine with cats. The kennel volunteers say anyone getting one of these pups is going to get a real gem! Great Pryr/Akbash is a Guardian Dog breed that we suggest you do research on before applying for this cutie, as there are differences between LGD breeds and Golden Retrievers. Maria will be looking for a loving foster or forever family, with a secure fenced yard as LGD's love to be in their yard to protect and patrol, and this happens best when they are in a secure space! Maria will be looking for a home that abides by the GRRAND puppy guidelines: Puppies are a lot of work, and if you are interested in a GRRAND puppy and have children, PLEASE SEE THE ADOPTION FAQs section of the website for more detailed info. GRRAND policies stipulate a few important things that may stop you from applying, and here are 2 big ones- A: GRRAND will NOT place a puppy under the age of 6 months with families with children under 6 yrs old  B: Any applicant with children under the age of 16, will require a home with direct access to a securely fenced yard... meaning direct access to the yard from the home… so this means no apartments or condos.  If you would like to meet Maria, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2140324##
