Story
Buddy is currently in Sweetwater, TN but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee! We use Rescue Riders Transport (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road! Buddy was discovered covered in ticks (14 to be exact), emaciated, and matted by a Good Samaritan who searched for his owners to no avail. They got in contact with us and we made room for this special guy at our rescue! Buddy is DEAF but he doesn’t let that stop him!! He loves to use his nose to explore the world around him and still loves to talk to you like your typical husky/malamute mix. 🥰 He can also feel vibrations and this can be a good way to get his attention. Buddy currently lives in a dog run with a doggie door and access to a potty room. Buddy has done well with the 3 year old human on the property and every dog he’s met! He does like to use his nose and paws to greet and communicate with new dogs and humans, so if your dog doesn’t like other dogs in their space, Buddy may not be a good fit for your home. He takes correction from other dogs VERY well and he is all around a goofy, even tempered guy! One of our wonderful volunteers has been working with Buddy on learning hand signals and he is very smart! He knows ‘sit, come here’ and is learning other commands as well. He was cat tested and did great! Please contact us if you would like videos of this interaction! He weighs approximately 69 lbs but is a big boy and is expected to be around 90-100 at his ideal weight! The vet believes he is around 2-3 years old.

Story
Hello there, I'm Hope! Don't let my age fool you, I'm as spry as ever. I've got a heart full of curiosity and bravery, always ready for new adventures. I promise I'll be your steadfast companion. I'm always up for a good ride in the car or walk, my energy knows no bounds. Friends? I've never met a stranger! I'm as friendly as they come. Why should you adopt me? Well, I believe life is sweeter with a loyal, playful, and loving friend like me by your side. A note from her foster dad: Meet Hope! Hope is approximately 10 years old and 64 pounds. She is a wonderful companion with great house manners. Hope is house-trained, walks well on the lead, and is social and loving. Hope came to us from a WV shelter. She is fostering with a retiree and would be a great companion for an older couple. Hope wasn't spayed until she came to our rescue and unfortunately had developed some mammary tumors. All of the tumors were removed and her chest X-rays and bloodwork are good. Hope is spayed and vaccinated for dhlpp, bordetella, and rabies. She has a 4DX heartworm test and microchip with lifetime registration. Hope is on monthly parasite prevenatives. Also included in the adoption are 30 days of Pet First Pet Insurance, and Petco's Free Welcome to the Family Program. This program supports All New Pet Parents and offers Free resources, more than $650 in savings, and 24/7 support.
