Story
It is fun watching Loki blossom while here at HSSV. He needs someone who would love to be a part of that! He is learning to love his interaction with people. How to walk on a leash. He would do best in a home starting out as the only dog until he gets some training and more socialization outside of his comfort zone.Loki was rehomed with his brother before being surrendered to the shelter. Prior to him coming to the shelter he didn't know how to interact with people or walk on a leash or have good manners when greeting. He is learning fast and wants to please! The big guy doesn't know his own size and I am sure would enjoy someone who can take him out on hikes then come home and relax on the couch. ES

Story
Tundra is a 3 year old female Alaskan malamute that has become a part of our family. Tundra is not spayed, however, is up to date on her shots. The good: Tundra is very loving. Loves being with people, but also, outside is her happy place. She loves toys that squeak, loves to run, and jump and play. She is house broken. The not so good: Tundra has recently (within the past year) become aggressive to our two other dogs, especially our other female dog. She usually only does this when she is in some way guarding a resource like food, toys, etc. However, our female dog is old and we can't keep Tundra as a result of the disdain she has for her. In addition, Tundra does get nervous around small children. We would like her to either go to a home with older kids (above age 8) or an adult only home that has the time for her and room for her to run. Tundra is very small prey driven, she will chase mice, rats, possums, chickens, cats and think it best she go to a home where she is the only pet.

Story
Oggie Doggie is a 4 year old Pure Bred Alaskan Malamute. When we say he is the best boy EVER, we can not stress it enough. In typical Malamute fashion, this boy is a LOVE. He has yet to meet a stranger and also does well with other dogs and grew up in a home with a cat. He is crate trained and although he does not have any formal training, he walks well on leash and is very well behaved. Oggie grew up in Texas and the Summer heat is cutting back on his exercise and daily outside activities. He is looking for a home in cooler temps and would be an amazing hiking companion.

Story
Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Haku can only be adopted in the local or TX area. Local adoption only, in San Antonio or TX area, $200.

Story
Aqua is a three year old Alaskan Malamute born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He is extremely friendly and loving towards people, even strangers on the street. Currently, he is known as "the neighborhood's dog" since all of the kids in the neighborhood have played with him since he was a puppy. The only thing he loves more than people is bananas. No seriously, if given the choice between meat and bananas, he would choose bananas immediately. Like all snow dogs, he has both strength and stamina to keep up with an active owner. Luckily, his favorite hobby is napping around the house all day. An ideal adopter would be someone who can go on daily walks with him and have a lively household. He wants nothing more than just being with his humans. An extra bonus would be a sufficiently large backyard for him to explore and sniff. He is also fully crate trained, potty trained and knows the standard American Kennel Club commands and hand signals.

My employee left this dog at our warehouse and never returned. His name is Max and he's a very fun and loving dog. I have another older dog and work full time with 2 teens so I don't have the space or time for him. Please someone help and give him a good home. I don't want any money just him to be happy in a good space.

Story
Meet our amazing fluffer boy, Kaii. He's 5yrs old, 75lbs with the most fantastic fluffy tail. He has beautiful medium energyloves walks, hikes and ready for all adventures. He's a big fan of his squeaky ball, belly rubs and his treats are a must! This smart boy will sit, shake and lay down on command and will surely learn more with treats and training. Kaii is selective with dogs, especially males, so it's probably best he be a solo dog in the home. He would be an awesome best friend to have by your side so get your application in ASAP. He's neutered, vaccinated and chipped so he's ready and hoping you pick him! Currently in Southern California, but can be transported up to northern states, such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and other close by states, if a great suitable family is willing to adopt him.
