Story
Lola is a sweet dog, and wants to be with you all the time. She can get a little anxious if she is in a different room from you. She can sit, lie down, and will go kennel at night time. She’s great in the car - easy to travel with. Cuddly on the sofa and wants to be with you. We adopted her from the local animal control when volunteers told us she was to be put down the next day; we gave in to the guilt but she has been a very sweet baby. Our only issue is with her aggression toward our cats. She wants to chase and catch them and our cats are not handling that well.

Story
Nell came to the rescue with a severely dislocated elbow (beyond repair) and an angry tumor on her lower belly. Her front left leg was amputated and the tumor, which was confirmed to be squamous cell carcinoma, was removed with clean margins. Nell has adjusted to life on three legs without a problem. Best of all, now that Nell knows she's safe, we get to enjoy her perfect personality. Nell loves to give kisses and isn't stingy with spreading the love-all of her dog AND human friends are blessed with enough open-mouth-tongue-kisses to last a lifetime. We truly are the luckiest. Medically, we know that the likelihood of the tumor(s) returning is high. Probably more than once. But don't let that scare you! Our vet has assured us that so long as her adopter is comfortable with having new tumors removed as needed, Nell's life expectancy is the same as any other dog. That's right. Nell gets to live the long, happy, and spoiled life she deserves. And with that, this sweet nugget is available for adoption. From Nell's foster: "Nell is without a doubt the easiest foster dog I've ever had. She is completely crate-trained-it's her safe space, and she's more than content to nap there until you get home from work. This house hippo is one giant couch potato that would do anything for a soft blanket and some cuddles. She is dog-friendly and has done well when meeting my (loud) toddlers. She's been spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and is heartworm negative. Her only continuing medical need will be monitoring for new tumor growth and having them removed as they arise."

Story
A day in the life of Rosalie: 7:00 AM Biiiiiiiig stretch! 7:30 AM Most important meal of the day! It takes a lot of energy to be this cute, hilarious, smart, and humble. 7:45 AM Mandatory post-breakfast nap 8:30 AM Potty break (still not sure why I have to go outside like a peasant but if it makes you happy, fine) 9:00 AM Supervise the staff at Red Woof. They’d be lost without me. 11:00 AM *leave open in case my future BFF wants to come meet me* 12:00 PM Start my security shift (AKA bark at my own shadow) while the humans break for lunch 3:30 PM Check “afternoon nap” off the to do list 4:30 PM PLAY TIME = BEST TIME! Today, I plan to chase my foster siblings at full speed because for “some reason” they won’t lay still long enough for me to eat their ears (rude) 6:00 PM The rustling of a dog food bag reminds me that I’m STARVING just as my foster mom sets down my bowl. Man, that lady really gets me. 7:00 PM Pre-bed 💩 7:15 PM Daydream about my future family 8:00 PM Don’t make fun of my early bedtime. The sooner I go to bed, the sooner tomorrow comes—and tomorrow just might be the day I get adopted! ——— Rosalie obviously likes her days as jam-packed as her personality, but she’d clear her schedule in a heartbeat for the chance to meet you! When setting up your meet-and-greet, please plan to bring any other four-legged family members along for the ride. Rosalie is a strong, independent woman and though we love that about her (💪🏼), she occasionally needs to be reminded that the living room isn’t a WWE ring and her name isn’t John Cena. We think she’d do best with another strong-willed adult dog that will tolerate her puppy shenanigans while helping her to learn right from wrong when necessary. (And if you don’t have any other dogs, rest assured that Rosalie will also make a fantastic and fiercely loyal only child. Hey, who in their right mind would say no to MORE attention? 🤷🏼‍♀️) Rosalie is fully vaccinated (including four rounds of DHPP), microchipped, dewormed with a negative fecal, and will come with a voucher that covers the cost of her spay.
