Story
Pax came to us from a multiple-dog family, so he is good with other dogs. He's also great with the children in his foster home. He's looking for a forever home . . . how about yours? He is food motivated and an enthusiastic student when training. He rides comfortably in a car, is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. He has been surrounded by a loving foster family but his public exposure has been limited. Obedience classes would be great once he's comfortable in a new environment. They would reinforce the training he's had, and would widen his world, showing him unknown humans are a source of positive attention and rewards. Story
This is our sweet precious Lucy. Lucy had an owner but her owner used to turn her out every day to wander the streets. A friend of the rescue would pick her up when she saw her and bring her home. She feared that Lucy would get hit by a car so one day when she returned her home, she asked the owners if they would surrender her to a rescue. They agreed and Lucy arrived here happy as a clam. She's a big girl, not fat, just a big girl. She's a very gentle big girl, sleeps in my bed with all the little ones sleeping on top of her! She loves children and cats. She was heart worm positive when she arrived but we have cleared all of that up. Lucy maybe a little older at 8 years but she has the energy of a puppy. She loves to play all day with the rest of the shelter dogs. She is spayed, fully vaccinated and house broken. She needs her forever home, could that be you? PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $350

Story
This beautiful girl is called Daisy White and she was born to a bulldog mix mama and we believe Dad was a Great Pyrenees mix himself. Born June 1st in a litter of 10, this girl is currently 20 lbs at 8 and 1/2 weeks. She knows her name and she loves to play with her siblings. She is one of the more energetic of the pups in her litter if you could call any of them really energetic. They lounge around in the sunroom and sleep inside a large crate or out on the floor and they just basically move at the speed of a snail. Extra skin, big paws,  beautiful droopy hang dog eyes and a heart to love you, that's what you get with these puppies. Daisy White loves to give kisses and Will crawl in your lap to get some hugs and cuddles. She knows commands and is learning to come to her name. If you tell her to 'go to your room' she goes. She's learned three or four commands like how to stay and how to lay down. She is also curious about the cat because she wants it to play with her. But alas, the cat has no interest in playing with a goofy, big bodied puppy that doesn't know her size. She should grow to be a 75 to 85 lb dog as an adult. She is gorgeous and she is a snuggler. If you are interested, please contact Critter Calvary rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com ASAP.    PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ZYM was saved from a kill shelter in Georgia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024. He along with 3 other pitties that he was saved were extremely emaciated with pressure sores that have been treated for and are all doing amazing having gained weight and healed. Zym is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of 4 April 2023 and in April 2024 weighed of 36 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. ** UPDATE ** 16 August 2024 = Zym has gone to live with a temporary foster family to get him out of the kennels, get the exercise and diet he needs and also let him enjoy living in a home with two other GaDaH adopted dogs, one of them being his brother Smellerbee whilst waiting for his forever family to find him. As I get updates from his foster family I will update. Since Zym has been here (just over a month at the time of this update) he has done amazing, he has gained weight (too much and is now on a diet lol). He and Smellerbee are pretty bonded and snuggle up together in a big puppy pile, so we would love to adopt them together but will adopt individually if a family only wants one. He is playful, affectionate, goofy, happy, full of love, kisses and cuddles. From what he must have endured to now it is a complete change, he is so much fun. He deserves an extra special family who can give him the life he deserves and help him forget the abuse, neglect and starvation he has suffered. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel    and    photo albums on our Facebook page    to see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. Zym is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a  reduced adoption  fee of $50. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - We do not have cats in the kennels and are not able to say how our dogs are with cats. Story
For more info on Zuryia please contact Carrie Bowman 731-267-5535 or email cabowman67@yahoo.com for an application to adopt. Zuryia is just a big pup who wants nothing more then to be loved and to play with her toys. Zuryia loves playing ball and gathering her toys to her crate where she hoards them. Zuryia was surrendered to a kill shelter along with her pups where she took great care of them. She does great with cats and amazing with kids, but can be intimidated by other dogs that are somewhat dominate or pushy. She would prefer a home where she can be the only dog but she will give you more attention and love then 10 dogs put together. This girl is amazingly sweet and loving. Zuryia says if you can look past the scars from her past life and see her for the love bug she is, she will be the companion you have always wanted.

Story
To learn more about Lollipup Luna or to adopt please contact Carrie Bowman at 731-267-5535 or cabowman67@yahoo.com for an application. Meet Lollipup Luna, a 2 year old, American Bulldog mix from Tennessee who comes to us as an owner surrender with her pups. As of 4/3/24, she weighs 35 lbs. She loves other dogs of all sizes, cats, and kids and is incredibly friendly when meeting new people! Her name says it all - she's sweet like candy!! Her foster mom shares "Lollipup Luna got her name because she is as sweet as a lollipop and as enjoyable as one. Who doesn’t love a lollipop, right? Luna is silly, fun and very loving girl who just wants to play and be loved. Luna enjoys playing with the other dogs in the foster home and she absolutely loves her toys, especially a good game of fetch which she will actually bring the ball back to you. When Luna isn’t busy playing or exploring she loves being a lap dog and enjoys her cuddle time with her person. If you are looking for a family dog then Luna is the one for you. I can picture her loving kids, playing in the yard with her family and perhaps a fur sibling as well. With summer right around the corner now is the time to make Luna an addition to your family outings this year. She is the best."

Pocket sized bulldog mix with great Corgi type ears! Very friendly girl who listens well. She is good in her crate. Loves to go for long walks and car rides! Ginny is not high energy. She would do well with an older person/persons who has a fenced yard where Ginny could get out of the house to take care of "business"
