This big-headed goof ball is full of energy and love! He does well with tough kids and most dogs (submissive dogs are best). He loves car rides, hikes although he can use some leash training, running and playing tug-of-war. He forgets how big he is all the time and really likes to throw his weight around. He is a rough and tough boy who just wants to adventure with someone. Cat free home please.

Story
Gibson is a calm, go with the flow boy who enjoys spending time with his people as well as car rides. He has amazing leash manners and sticks right by your side! He can be quite bashful at times but underneath he has a lot of love to give. Gibson is house trained, as well as kennel trained. His previous owner stated when left alone he needs to be kenneled to avoid any mischievous behaviors and to help with his separation anxiety. Due to this, Gibson is on a daily medication for the rest of his life called Fluoxetine. Gibson's ideal home would be a low traffic, someone who is always home, no kids under 15, and someone who can provide his medicine. He has previously lived with cats. We highly recommend very calm, respectful dogs. If you are interested in this sweetheart, please come to KVHS during opening hours with all household members. Due to full kennels up front, Gibson is available from out back! Please ask to see him.

Ready to be your new best friend! Chief is a charming 4 year old mix breed dog with a sweet bully face that will steal your heart. He's an inquisitive and loyal companion who loves to be with his person, whether you're hanging out at home, running errands, or going for walks. Chief would thrive in a family that is ready to include him in their daily activities and trips. He currently goes to work with his foster mom daily and enjoys their morning stops for puppuccino's and mid-day walks. Chief is happy to cohabitate with medium to low energy level dogs and has gotten along with adult, seniors and little dogs! Chief does not care to engage in play with other dogs and would do best in a home without large size male dogs though has done well being walked past larger male dogs and meeting larger calm males in a controlled setting. Chief is both house and crate trained, and he sleeps soundly at night in his big dog bed. His favorite toys include Kongs, balls, and rubber chew toys.  Chief does not know how big he is and may be too much for small kids and would recommend a home with kids aged teen and above.  He cherishes his people and delights in snuggles and belly rubs. Story
This is our sweet precious Lucy. Lucy had an owner but her owner used to turn her out every day to wander the streets. A friend of the rescue would pick her up when she saw her and bring her home. She feared that Lucy would get hit by a car so one day when she returned her home, she asked the owners if they would surrender her to a rescue. They agreed and Lucy arrived here happy as a clam. She's a big girl, not fat, just a big girl. She's a very gentle big girl, sleeps in my bed with all the little ones sleeping on top of her! She loves children and cats. She was heart worm positive when she arrived but we have cleared all of that up. Lucy maybe a little older at 8 years but she has the energy of a puppy. She loves to play all day with the rest of the shelter dogs. She is spayed, fully vaccinated and house broken. She needs her forever home, could that be you? PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $350

This beautiful girl is called Daisy White and she was born to a bulldog mix mama and we believe Dad was a Great Pyrenees mix himself. Born June 1st in a litter of 10, this girl is currently 20 lbs at 8 and 1/2 weeks. She knows her name and she loves to play with her siblings. She is one of the more energetic of the pups in her litter if you could call any of them really energetic. They lounge around in the sunroom and sleep inside a large crate or out on the floor and they just basically move at the speed of a snail. Extra skin, big paws,  beautiful droopy hang dog eyes and a heart to love you, that's what you get with these puppies. Daisy White loves to give kisses and Will crawl in your lap to get some hugs and cuddles. She knows commands and is learning to come to her name. If you tell her to 'go to your room' she goes. She's learned three or four commands like how to stay and how to lay down. She is also curious about the cat because she wants it to play with her. But alas, the cat has no interest in playing with a goofy, big bodied puppy that doesn't know her size. She should grow to be a 75 to 85 lb dog as an adult. She is gorgeous and she is a snuggler.
