Kylo is a TON of fun! He loves to play ball and is such a doll doing it that you won't want to stop, even when your arm gets sore. He's a sweet, derpy kind of pup, which is our very favorite kind. He's met a dog-friendly cat and did just fine. He likes other dogs, too! Kylo loves his human friends a LOT, so much that his excitement bubbles over into his puppy toes and he jumps for joy and wants to touch you sooooo badly, but tries really hard not to. Even so, his exuberance might be a titch much for the little kids. Kylo is so eager to please people that he's learning basic obedience, the ins and outs of being the best dog he can be, at The Pet Connection (Official) and loving every minute of it. Treats sure do make it even more fun for Kylo and the other dogs in our care! But he's already 12/10 a very good boy! Kylo takes food soooo gently that you wouldn't even know he has teeth. Georgie, our friend from @Valentine's Second Chance Animal Rescue, adores being with people. It doesn't matter what you're doing-- reading a book, working, going for a walk, puttering in the yard--being with you will bring Georgie joy. How wonderful is it that just spending time with you can make this lovely, precious boy so darned happy? You see, Georgie came from a shelter in Kansas where too many dogs don't make it out alive. But Georgie was lucky and he seems genuinely grateful to be here, with people who want to be with him. Now we're on a mission to find the people who will give Georgie the gift of companionship, of love, of a HOME. That's where you come in! Diego is my name and finding a home is the game! You know that character Peter Pan, a lost boy who never wanted to grow up? That's me! I don't ever want to grow up, and I'll keep these puppy dog eyes forever. The great news is that I don't come with all the puppy behaviors just all the cuteness. I'll let you smush my wrinkly face to your hearts desire. I am a goofy, loving boy looking to fill someones lap and bed! I am food motivated, I know some basic skills, and am happy to learn more. Do you love to play? I do! Other dogs in the home? Great, I love them! Help a lost boy out and give me a place to be found forever! All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested (6 months and above) and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. At the time of adoption all dogs are signed up with a unique Safe Paws QR pet ID tag, the adopter is required to maintain a monthly membership of $2.99/month for (at minimum) the first year. This helps insure your new furry family member makes his way back to you if lost. Leashes and collars are also required at the time of adoption. You are welcome to bring your own, or we have plenty to choose from at the shelter as well. If the pet you fall in love with is not quite ready for adoption, we do offer a $50 hold deposit that will insure you have first "dibs" on adoption. Once an animal is available for adoption, we are not able to hold them, as there are so many animals waiting to come into our program. Midwest Animal ResQ offers a 30-day adjustment period within which you can evaluate the pet's progress and your adoption decision. If, within those 30 days, you determine your recently adopted pet isn't a good fit, you may return the animal and receive a MARQ credit that can be used toward the adoption of another animal. Our biggest priority is finding the very best match for you, and Completing Families one Tail at a Time! Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays. You are welcome to fill out our quick 10 question adoption survey to facilitate a quicker process.
