Meet Wilbert, a handsome, short, and stocky Bulldog mix pulled into our rescue from a local inner-city shelter. This charming fellow is 7 years old and weighs a solid 75 pounds, with a personality that’s as big as he is. Wilbert gets along well with other dogs and is a friendly pup. He’s a smart cookie who knows the sit command and comes when called. He’s also crate trained and walks nicely on a leash. Despite his size, Wilbert has a surprising amount of energy and an almost comical obsession with tennis balls! He’ll chase them down tirelessly and might just try to carry around as many as he can at once, all while showing off his big grin. Wilbert does best in an adult-only home where his family understands that he gets spooked if people get too close to his face, so he needs an owner who respects this boundary. Don’t let Camacho’s name fool you. He has a muscular build befitting a macho man (or dog) but in reality, is a ladies' man who is especially fond of woman and children. He’s a two-year-old, 50-pound pup with a smile that stretches from ear to ear. With his cheesy grin, he might just be the cutest wiggle-butt you’ll ever meet! Camacho came into the shelter after being abandoned and seized. He had a shock collar on so who knows what his life was like before he was picked up. He does shy away a little bit from men however his foster is male and reports that Camacho is very sweet and affectionate. Camacho spent practically 6 months in a shelter euthanizing for space until he went into a foster home. His foster reports that Camacho knows down and no and is an obedient pup. They are working on some other commands as well as not pulling on the leash but all in all, Camacho is a good little guy and a pleasure to foster. He’s friendly with other dogs and enjoys playing with another dog in his foster home. He does well with older kids in the home. Volunteers at the shelter adored him, his foster has nothing but praise for him and anyone who meets him can’t help but fall in love with him. Camacho can’t wait to settle into his forever home, and we can’t wait to see him spoiled and get all the love he deserves. What a grin he'll have on his face then! Velvet is a wonderful dog. She is an absolute love bug and give hugs. She would love a kind, firm and gentle owner who can engage with her and enjoy her puppy playfulness. She is a great dog and she absolutely loves other dogs. She is very puppyish and playful. She likes to wrestle when she plays but she listens when other dogs tell her to calm down. She's sweet and very eager to please. She loves attention and has learned a lot of good dog-behaviors from her foster's older dogs who have become her best buddies. She is housebroken but does love to go outside every 3 hours during the day for a pee-pee if you're home. She is crate-trained and crates easily. She has been non-destructive in her foster home. She would love to be with someone that is home more often than not. She's not going to love being left alone for 8-10 hours a day 5 days a week. She loves to play with balls, and she thinks every tennis ball left on the court should be hers. She is very food motivated and does well on a routine. Coco and her siblings were 8 weeks old when they became court cases with animal control charges of animal cruelty. They have been in foster for the past 22 months and were just released to be available for adoption. Coco's journey to nd her forever home has been one of resilience and love. This beautiful girl had a tragic start, as she and her siblings became court cases with charges of severe abuse and neglect when they were just a few weeks old. In April 2023, Coco and two of her siblings came into a wonderful woman's care as foster babies. Since then, Coco has blossomed in a happy and safe environment, surrounded by her brother and sister. Coco has shown incredible strength and love despite her dicult beginnings. She deserves a forever home where she can continue to thrive and bring joy to her new family. About Coco: - Coco is almost 2 years old, weighs approximately 66 pounds.
