Story
Paul is a 2-year-old, 47-pound American Bulldog mix with playful energy and tons of charm. When he first arrived at his foster home, Paul couldn’t sit still—he was jumping, running, and barking with excitement! With patience and training, Paul has blossomed into a well-mannered dog who knows how to sit, give paw, and follow general commands. This smart boy learns quickly and is eager to please his people. Treats are his ultimate motivator, and he thrives in training sessions. Paul loves playing with balls and tough toys, as he’s known to chew through stuffed animals in no time! He’s happiest when running around the backyard chasing critters or soaking up attention from his favorite humans. Always excited to meet new people, Paul’s friendly and social nature makes him an amazing companion. Fully house-trained and ready for adventure, Paul would thrive in an active, fun-loving family. If you’re looking for a loyal and playful friend, apply to adopt Paul at bcaaofnj.org!Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Story
Doug is a young, large, puppy-like dog who would benefit from socialization and training, but who wouldn’t? His new home should be experienced with dogs and should have the time and energy to dedicate to Doug’s exercise needs and training. Any potential doggie-housemates would require a meet and greet. If you like large breed dogs, Doug is your guy! Hamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet. Ideal home: quiet environment, someone at home most of the day, Lots of exercise opportunities Training Needs: needs obedience training Health issues: Was diagnosed with hip dysplasia via x-ray yet she shows no sign of it and runs jumps and plays. I give her supplements, and she hasn't had an episode in months. Meet Amega Amega is a very passionate American Bulldog who is very protective of who she loves. She has a dominant personality and comes from a well-known American Bulldog pedigree. She was purchased from Greatlakes Bulldogs in Albany New York. Unfortunately, with her dominant demeanor and my two-year-old grandchild's playful nature. I am not fully comfortable when they interact. Although she is tolerant of him and avoids him at times, I don't want to put her in an environment where her prey nature causes, he to respond and hurt him.  This is a courtesy post.   PLEASE READ: Adopters will not be considered without completing an application. Good with cats? unknown, will not be adopted to a home with a cat Good with children? OK for kids over: 10 Activity Preference: Needs a couple walks a day., Needs in-house activities, Up for a long hike any day., Low maintenance overall but needs quality outside time., Will go with the flow IQ: Smart Buzzy's favorite things: He loves other dogs and playtime, He loves to snuggle w/people and other dogs. Meet Buzzy He's a cuddler. He loves to lay on the couch with us or on top of us. He's not pushy about it though. If you ask him to move or get off of you, he will. He doesn't do much licking or "kissing". He sits for treats without you even asking and he takes them gently. He rides very well in the car. He did end up in the front seat with me but curled up into a little ball and slept. He walks well with only a leash and collar. We've had absolutely no accidents in the house. He's very well trained, he even barks at the door to let us know when he needs to go out. Right now we're feeding him Fromm Four Star kibble and a little bit of raw.   PLEASE READ: Adopters will not be considered without completing an application.
