Lisa is gentle as a lamb. She loves hugs and kisses and tries her very best to make you happy. How could you not love a baby with a smile as wide as her sweet face?Lisa was abandoned on the side of the road with her sister Marge. The temperatures were in the high 90's and these girls had neither food nor water! Someone just left them on the side of the road to die. We tried our darndest to ignore their plight but when I drove by a second time and saw how terrified and hungry they were, we had to help. We brought them food and water in buckets and prayed they would be friendly (since I had heard all the stories about pit bulls). I admit they were leery of us too but as soon as they had a few bites they became our best buddies. Lisa was so thin, and something had caused some serious cuts, but she has never even paused in her outpouring of love and gratitude. What a precious girl. Lisa is especially extra gentle and innocent and loves nothing more than sitting beside you, knowing you are near.Lisa loves kisses and belly rubs, running wide open, and treats. She will make a devoted fur baby to a family that does not have cats or chickens. This beautiful girl is called Daisy White and she was born to a bulldog mix mama and we believe Dad was a Great Pyrenees mix himself. Born June 1st in a litter of 10, this girl is currently 20 lbs at 8 and 1/2 weeks. She knows her name and she loves to play with her siblings. She is one of the more energetic of the pups in her litter if you could call any of them really energetic. They lounge around in the sunroom and sleep inside a large crate or out on the floor and they just basically move at the speed of a snail. Extra skin, big paws, beautiful droopy hang dog eyes and a heart to love you, that's what you get with these puppies. Daisy White loves to give kisses and Will crawl in your lap to get some hugs and cuddles. She knows commands and is learning to come to her name. If you tell her to 'go to your room' she goes. She's learned three or four commands like how to stay and how to lay down. She is also curious about the cat because she wants it to play with her. But alas, the cat has no interest in playing with a goofy, big bodied puppy that doesn't know her size. She should grow to be a 75 to 85 lb dog as an adult. She is gorgeous and she is a snuggler. Ben is a sweet, ever so handsome and an independent boy who loves to be near you (he gets SO excited when we come home) but can equally occupy himself. He’s house trained, crate trained and a great eater! He is curious for life, and would likely do best with a home or space with a fence. We’ve not had to crate him, and have had no issues. He’s got a funny personality, a silly howl (only comes out once in a while, definitely not an issue) and is basically a dream.Ben has received the ProHeart 12 shot, which means you don’t have to worry about heartworm preventative for 12 months from the day they received the shot. Meet Leonidas! Hi! My name is Leonidas, but all my friends call me Leo. I'm kind of a celebrity around here, but don't worry, it still hasn't gone to my head. I am one of the longest residents here at the Humane Society, I've been in their care since August of 2021. I'm an American Bulldog mix, and the birthday they helped me choose is 08/19/2016. Now that I've got the boring stuff out of the way, let me tell you about me! If you'll indulge me in bragging for a moment, I'll tell you I am one of the BEST huggers you will ever meet. I have never met someone who didn't melt right in my paws. If you give the right first impression, good luck stopping me from giving you a snuggle. I love a good treat, I mean who doesn't? My friends have taught me a lot of basic commands, and if you give me a reward or use a clicker I will listen for sure. I'm also a sucker for a good chew toy. Rubber balls and hard toys are my absolute favorite! My friends like to give me Kongs filled with peanut butter, and I can't get enough of those. I could chew on a good toy for hours, honestly! A couple of things you should know about me are my HUGE fear of storms, for one. Way back before I lived at the shelter, I was shot in the shoulder area and the thunder just reminds me of that way too much. I'm fine now from the gunshot, though, not even a scar! I also want to be the only pet in the home. Other dogs and cats are fun to think about, but I don't actually want to be anywhere near them. I think kids are pretty fun! I love to give them big hugs and kisses, but they should be old enough to understand my boundaries. I can get a nervous if you hold me too firmly, and I know some really little ones don't understand that yet. Leo is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee has been sponsored! I came to the shelter after I went on a solo adventure away from my home, and my parents never found me. She’s a white dog who loves to roll in the grass … it’s really cute when she does it.No kennel needed. She REALLY is not a fan of them. Chloe has some hip issues so no long walks or hiking needed. .
