Story
Meet Lachlan - the cutest and sweetest little grey tabby Scottish Fold! Lachlan came from Kuwait to get the treatment he needed and find his furever home. He was quite painful and closed off upon arrival. But now, after his veterinary visit, he's become so playful and fun! He's full of vim and vigor and cracks me up! Lachlan has Osteochondrodysplasia (OCD) which is very common in Scottish Folds. The abnormality that causes their ears to be folded also leads to cartilage issues throughout the body. For Lachlan this can be seen in his short tail that has little to no flexibility and his feet which are short and thick. Lachlan does so well on his pain regimen! He jumps and plays and is such a happy guy. His favorite thing is head scratches. He leans into them so much he often flips over on his side! Lachlan's severe OCD will need to be treated for the rest of his life with a monthly injection at a vet office and daily doses of Gabapentin. This greatly improves his mobility and makes him comfortable. This injection, depending on the vet and location, can cost around $60-$100 per month. He will need to be on life long pain management including daily medication that he takes very easily. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested FeLV/FIV negative. A Grade 2 heart murmur was auscultated during exam, however no signs of congestive heart failure noted.

Story
Naya the sweetest girl and so happy with life even through all she's endured. All the way from Kuwait, she came here for a better life. Naya is 2 years old and came to us with stomatitis and FeLV. Her stomatitis is resolved but FeLV will be a lifelong immunosuppressant for her. With Naya, you will likely never have to worry about dental care because she only has 3 teeth. She loves people so much and will kindly ask to be pet. She will find new and exciting places to sleep like laundry baskets and closets. The only symptom she shows of FeLV is some chronic nasal congestion. She would do very well with other cats who have FeLV too but could also be adopted alone as a single cat. Because Naya is a Scottish Fold, it's recommended that she get some kind of joint supplement for the majority of her life. The gene mutation that makes their ears folded can lead to cartilage issues and getting ahead of it now will help her live life to the fullest. A popular supplement comes in powder form and is easily sprinkled over food. Naya just might be the perfect cat for you. She is about 2 years old, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested FIV negative. Adopters will receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our Petstore partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and All Paws). Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application. Story
Meet Peppermint, a gorgeous Scottish fold mix with a stunning, swirly, silver coat. This big sweetie is not only a sight to behold but also a delightful companion. She has a subtle limp from a previous injury that only adds to her charm. Peppermint is a chatty girl who will have full conversations with you, sharing her thoughts and affection. She gets along with almost everyone, though she may prefer the company of gentler feline friends, as bolder cats might try to bully her. Peppermint loves spending time on a catio, soaking up the sun and enjoying the fresh air. After traveling all the way from Kuwait, she's ready to find a loving home where she can share her sweet nature and endless conversation. Adopt Peppermint for a unique and loving companion who will steal your heart with every purr and meow! She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested FIV/Felv negative. She is approximately 1 year old. Adopters will also receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our Petstore partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and All Paws).
