Hi, we love our miniature American Eskimo, however due to how often we leave the house (now that we have kids) we feel it’s not the same home Kairos is used to. We are very busy now and want him to have a better life. He is the perfect dog (aside from his barking). He barks every time someone comes to the door or if he hears someone in the backyard by our trail. He is amazing with children which is why this is a very difficult decision.

Meet Igloo! Igloo came to us from San Diego Humane Society on February 10th. He is about 9 years old and weighs 13 lbs. Igloo's rear legs are paralyzed, so we ordered wheels for him. As you can see in the video, it didn’t take long for him to learn how to use them. And look how happy Igloo is to be on the move again! Igloo is an incredibly sweet and happy boy who loves to be close to people. He hangs in our lobby during the day and doesn’t react at all to the barking, new people, or new dogs who that come through the door. He is so calm and easygoing! Igloo just left on a two-week Frosted Fling, and we are so excited for him to spend time in a home again as part of a family. Check back soon for an update on how Igloo is doing!

Meet Konalyn! 12-year-old Konalyn came to us from San Diego Humane Society on February 27th. She is a sweet, gentle girl. Konalyn lives in a Foster home, and we received an update from her foster mom: "Kona has been with us for two weeks. She is a happy, sweet, active dog. Here’s what we’ve learned about her: 🐾 She is very active for 12 years old and acts years younger. Walking is her favorite activity. She’s walked a couple miles and could go further. 🐾 Eating is her second favorite activity. She eats heartily and is not picky. 🐾 She can tell time! 10 minutes before dinner she is barking to remind us “To feed the dog.” 🐾 She sleeps through the night. She is comfortable in a crate. Often will sleep on the floor. 🐾 Loves, loves, loves people. Seeks out affection from all. 🐾 Good with polite dogs. Interacts nicely with our two. Will growl off dogs that rush her. 🐾 Very few accidents. Her signal to go out is subtle. We’ve missed it a few times. She stands by the door or looks at you longingly to let you know. 🐾 Barks at people at the door. Just doing her job. 🐾 Prefers a proper introduction. Likes to be pet on her body first and then you can slide your hand to her head for ear scratches. 🐾 Not interested in toys. 🐾 Rides well in the car. 🐾 Good with baths.
