Story
A SWEET & FRIENDLY LOVEBUG: Approx. 8 years old / Approx. 13 lbs. Hi, my name is Quentin! Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I have been soaking up the love and attention from the volunteers ever since! Now I’m in a great foster home having fun! Next stop: my furever home – it might be with YOU! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I like to play with one of the dogs in my foster home that is the same size as me, when the other dog isn’t around. We wrestle and the other dog is trying to teach me tug-o-war, so maybe I’ll learn that. I was previously a little reactive with them when they got to come out of their crates before me, so my foster set some boundaries to not put me on the bed with them, but they allow me to lie next to them, but not on them on the couch (when they invite me) and that has stopped all reactivity in the home, so if you have a dog that’s my size and are willing to follow some guidelines that are working, let’s meet! / I’ve had zero interest in the cats in my foster home. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: Initially in my foster home, it took me time to become comfortable and not fearful of new people, however I’ve made great strides in that area! There were 2 visitors that stayed the week, and I was not fearful of them, and there were some people working on the house and I was not afraid of them either! I was happy to greet them and even tried to get picked up. So, perhaps I’ll just need a little adjustment time in my new home – or maybe not! I have a fun nature and will charm you with my ‘people skills’, as I want to be as close to my people as possible, in fact I can on occasion be a bit underfoot so best no one with a mobility challenge. / My energy level is 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I seem to mimic and respond to commands along with the other dogs in the home: ‘sit’, ‘place’, ‘crate’, ‘eat’, ‘go lay down’, ‘out’ and ‘enough’. I bet you can reinforce these in my new home. I also have good leash manners. / My crate manners were good at Mostly Mutts as well as in my foster home, and I like eating my meals in there. / My potty habits have been very good in my foster home, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I just LOVE Nylabones and plastic – so don’t leave plastic around or I’ll chew on it. I’m small and take advantage of my size by squeezing into the smallest places near you for all the cuddles. Blankets are awesome, and I love to wrap up and burrow in them to get as comfy as possible, so please check before sitting as I may be all wrapped under a blanket and I know you don’t want to sit on me. I always enjoy my walks so let’s take some nice strolls together. If toys are around, I love to play with them, and don’t be surprised to find that I have collected an unusual item from around the house and put it in my bed, though I haven’t chewed anything yet, except plastic. My main goal in life is to love and be loved. Won’t you help me meet my love quota? / Loud noises startle me, and I will go into ‘pancake’ mode immediately. I’m sensitive about having my feet touched and may holler, but my fosters are working to help me overcome this. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I have a luxating patella, which is not uncommon for small dogs like me. I take an ongoing Cosequin (joint supplement) once a day to keep my joints feeling good. I needed a good dental cleaning when I arrived, so my mouth is fresh again! I am looking for a wonderful home with a loving family for life! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga. March 19, 2025, 8:40 am
