United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. For more information about the pet, the adoption process, or our program please contact the Volunteer Adoption Coordinator listed below. Because animals are adopted/rescued daily, please also check the United Hope for Animals Facebook page to see if an animal is still available OR call the Baldwin Park Shelter at 626-962-3577. When inquiring about an animal, please reference the animal’s ID number. This will enable the volunteer or Baldwin Park employee to locate the status of the pet. Thank you for supporting rescue. Pet Information #A4710379 Bailey is a resilient 9 year old tan spayed female Pit Bull who was found as a stray and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on July 19. Weighing 50 lbs, Bailey seems to have been adopted as a youngster and doesn’t know how she found herself here again. She has a sweet personality and waggy tail despite apparent blindness and deafness, as well as a skin condition that has resulted in the loss of most of her hair. Shelter staff tell us her skin has been improving with treatment. A health waiver is required for her and an outside veterinarian can give a treatment plan to address her needs. Bailey follows her nose and takes treats gently. She does bump into things that she can’t see so her handler and future home must be able to help her navigate the world. Easy on leash, Bailey deserves a loving home and supportive care for her golden years.    BAILEY’S VIDEO:   https://youtu.be/GoOPpFnn6X8 For more information on this pet, contact volunteer UHA Adoption Coordinator Lisa at lisaa@unitedhopeforanimals.org  August 19, 2024, 10:38 pm

#A5629308 Elenor is an incredibly sweet black velvet hippo with the cutest tuxedo coat, white socks, and floppy ears! This little lowrider was a mama recently and is now looking for a home where she will be loved, cherished, and respected. In return, Eleanor will gladly plop in your lap and smother you with affection. She loves being with her people, and despite her size, also loves being a lap dog. Eleanor also does well with other pups, especially calm ones, and would make a great little sister to any existing pet siblings. This little lady has had her babies, and is finally ready to be babied herself - are you ready to add her to your family today?      3 year old black and white pitbull 51 pound unaltered female - Elenor was a mom recently and is not spayed yet, which will need to be done before she can be adopted; the Care Center can do this! Very playful and tolerant of other dogs, but calm dogs are recommended Does well on leash, both with collaring and walking Medium energy level, but will get delightful bursts of zoomies on occasion Knows some basic commands, like sit - especially for treats - and is food motivated, so could learn more commands and manners!
