Story
Star is a very sweet girl, doesn't pull on the leash during walks, and gets along with most dogs. The only reason I'm rehoming her is that unfortunately due to costs I have to move somewhere that does not allow dogs. She truly is a good girl though and will be happy just being around you.

Story
Kova is a distinguished gentleman who’s spent most of his life at Living Free, having arrived back in 2016. Now a senior, Kova has been deeply loved by staff and volunteers alike, and he’s formed a beautiful bond with his long-term canine roommate, Lola. These two are a dynamic duo, but Kova is now ready to find a home of his own—a place where he can finally retire as someone’s beloved best friend. Don’t let his age fool you—Kova lives for a good game of fetch and will happily play as long as you’re willing to toss the ball. Once you throw it, consider yourself his new favorite human. He’s a little cautious around strangers at first, but the way to Kova’s heart is simple: tennis balls and a little patience. Kova is a true gentleman on the leash and loves going on hikes, soaking in nature like a pro. He’d thrive in a calm, loving home where he can enjoy his favorite activities and receive the one-on-one companionship he’s been waiting for all these years. Come meet Kova, throw the ball, and discover a loyal, playful friend who’s been waiting a long time for you.

Story
Lola has a contagious smile. She seems to always be happy and ready to play. She loves playing keep away with toys. She especially likes to steal her buddy Kova's toys to make him chase her around. At the dog park Lola likes running fast and enjoys a dip in the pool. She is silly and sometimes easily distracted. Ultimately, Lola looks for approval and praise, which makes her very willing to learn new things. She is very friendly with everyone she meets and seems to get along with other large dogs that are around her size. Lola is waiting for a home with a loving, active family that will provide lots of love and plenty of exercise.

Story
Bubba has quietly stolen the hearts of everyone at the sanctuary, from volunteers to staff, but despite his gentle nature and perfect manners, this senior boy keeps getting overlooked—simply because of his breed. We're here to change that, because Bubba deserves a loving home to call his own. Bubba is the definition of a gentleman. He walks beautifully on a leash, loves kids, and even enjoys the company of cats. He’s not a fan of other dogs, so he’s looking for a home where he can be the only canine companion—but trust us, this sweet soul will fill your heart and home all on his own. He’s a favorite around here, often taking lunch breaks with our kennel staff or catching a nap in the kitchen. He’s even a regular at staff meetings, always on his best behavior, quietly soaking up the attention (and occasional treats). We all adore Bubba, but what he truly needs is a real home, a soft spot to rest his head, and a person or family to love him through his golden years. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s already won over an entire staff, Bubba might just be the perfect dog for you. Let’s help Bubba find the forever home he’s been waiting for. 💙

Story
Our initial impression of Monet was very, very shy. That has since changed since she settled in. Monet is goofy, loving, and playful. Her favorite thing to do at the moment is show off her new favorite toys. She has the uncanny ability to make friends with anyone she meets and that seems to be exactly what she wants to happen. She and her roommate Zeus have shown to be incredibly respectful to each other and have become fast friends. Being a young dog, she has plenty of room to learn and would excel in training. She caught onto the routine at the sanctuary in no time and is loving life. Now she just needs her forever home.
