Story
I have started working more and going to college. I do not have the time to give Daisy the time and exercise she deserves. She loves children and is very gentle around my 8 year old daughter. Sometimes she gets out and just hangs out with the kids in the neighborhood. Daisy is pretty good off leash and will stay next to you or in the front yard unless there is another dog or cat. Her interactions with dogs are hot and miss and will need to be monitored. She got bit in the face at the dog park once and has been cautious of other dogs since that day.

Story
MEET JAZZ! I'm such a great, happy dog! I'm a 6-year-old pit-lab mix in need of a foster or forever home. I weigh about 55 lbs. There are so many great things about me. I love human attention and affection. I have a cheerful disposition. And I'm the type of dog who will be your best friend. But I'm just one more black dog that found myself at a high-kill shelter, and it's tough to find my person or people. I will do best as the only dog in the home, but I will give you enough love to make up for that. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
I'M GRAYSON, and I'm a great dog! I'm an unique looking Pittie but am handsome in my own right. I have a bit longer nose and some chubby cheeks and my eyes can sometimes look sad. I'm also quite small for a male Pit, about 45-50 lbs. I'm about 4-5 years old now and keep getting overlooked. I love people and have tested well with some other dogs. About a year ago I was diagnosed with a double hip dysplasia, and I just need to be on meds (or supplements) going forward. (Right now I'm over-the-counter glucosamine and am doing great!) I can be a bit touchy on my back hips now and then, so best to just avoid rubbing me there, especially if I'm sleeping. I am starved for human affection, and I love to go on car rides, walks and other outings. I would do best in a quiet home with a single person or couple. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M TOMMY! I'm a 3-year-old gorgeous blue Pit Bull Terrier in need of a home! I was saved from a shelter and am waiting patiently for someone to choose me! I am a handsome boy who loves his people immensely. I tested well with some dogs, but I would be best in a home as the only dog (we think). I absolutely love to play fetch. I also love to go for walks & hikes; I'm strong on a leash, so would benefit with a strong & muscular owner. My ideal home would be with a single person, a couple, or a family with older kids. I weigh about 60 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
Ruby is 2 1/2 years old. Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and weighs 52lbs. She loves to play with other dogs, and has a lot of dog friends, but would prefer to be your one and only in the home. She needs an adopter who loves to snuggle with their dog because she is very affectionate. She is an excellent traveler and enjoys going to the vet because she gets hugs and kisses from all the staff. Ruby needs someone who loves to go on walks and also play fetch in the yard. She loves playing with her toys, and chewing on a bone. She is happy to meet everyone, but she isn't fond of children. Ruby knows all her commands, is very intelligent and a fast learner. She would thrive with someone who enjoys brain games, etc. She also scores high on emotional intelligence so we believe would make a great emotional support animal. Ruby sleeps through the night. Is fine to be left alone up to 8 hours in the home. She is crate trained, but is fine to be left out of the crate. Ruby has a very happy disposition. Ruby's DNA is Pitbull/Boxer/Bulldog so most apartments and rental properties will not allow her. If you are interested in making Ruby a part of your family please submit an application to www.takemehomedogrescue.org

Story
Introducing Jackson, or as we like to call him, Jack Teller - a true survivor who has overcome countless obstacles in his journey. Imagine finding him at an intersection, abandoned and scared, anxiously waiting for his owners to return. It breaks your heart, doesn't it? But don't worry, this story has a happy ending. Despite his rough start, Jack Teller has blossomed into a remarkable companion. Like any dog, he was initially wary of new faces, but it didn't take long for him to realize that there are kind-hearted souls out there who only want to shower him with love and affection. And boy, did he surprise us all! Jack Teller turned out to be the friendliest pup around, melting hearts left and right with his warm greetings and wagging tail. He's not just good with people, but dogs too - a true social butterfly! Like many of our Tx dogs he is being treated for heartworms. NOTHING to worry about as this is very common here.  We will provide the medication to continue his treatment.   If you're looking for a hiking buddy or simply a furry friend to join you on leisurely strolls, Jack Teller is your guy. He absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the great outdoors. Plus, he's a pro when it comes to crate training. Talk about an all-around good boy! But here's the best part - this gentle soul is a hidden treasure, waiting to be discovered by the perfect forever family. We believe that every dog deserves a loving home, and Jack Teller is no exception. That's why we make regular trips to the Pacific Northwest, including a special stop in Bellingham, WA, just for our Canadian friends. If you're interested in adopting Jack Teller or want to find out more about him, head over to www.springbranchrescue.org. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome this incredible pup into your life. Trust us, it'll be a decision you won't regret. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##1714321##

Story
Tiny and Marlie are very gentle and good-natured dogs that we would love to see adopted together if possible. Both are cuddlers although Marlie prefers to lay on top of you rather than to the side. They are both such sweethearts and love people. They're good with kids. With new people and situations, however, Marlie is a little timid at first. These youngsters are super playful and love toys, treats, and bones. Tiny lives to play tug-of-war or keep-away and his favorite toys are ropes. Marlie is content with a chew and a shade tree. They are both treat-motivated. Once, their temporary foster mom took them to a park where there were other dogs and while Marlie was a bit standoffish, she didn't act like she minded the other animals. In the temporary foster home they did not get along with the senior Pitty but were okay with the other dogs. It is hard to say if they will do best with just the two of them or be fine with another friendly, confident dog of middle age. Marlie walks with a hunch in her back like maybe she sustained an injury at some point that wasn’t treated. The landlord at the apartment where they came from said there was a time when she didn't get around much and seemed like she hurt her "rear leg or something". Tiny stayed at her side the entire time. These two are a bonded pair, not siblings, but they love each other dearly. From what we were told, their prior owner tried to separate them at one point and they both did poorly. They are very attached to each other. That being said, the situation was already less than ideal, and they probably needed each other to cope. They can go to separate fosters if needed, but after the trauma and abandonment they have endured, we would love to keep them together. They absolutely love car rides and behave wonderfully. They have great leash manners. They get along with the cats in their home. Both are estimated to be about one year old at the beginning of July, 2024. They are in our satellite foster group in the Salt Lake City area. If you’re interested in one or both of these big bundles of love, please visit our Linktree page and complete an application. https://linktr.ee/northernstardogrescue

This girl is a bundle of joy! Chloe is a true snuggle bunny & loves to get pets. She is good on a leash & sleeps quietly in a kennel at night. She loves to be a part of the family & be in the middle of the action. She's selective about her friends & would be good as an only dog or have a submissive dog as a buddy. We recommend having a meet n greet with other pups she may live with. She is house trained. She is fully vetted, heartworm negative & on preventatives, spayed, & microchipped. She is being fostered in Seguin, TX. All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
Meet Tyson, affectionately known as "TY TY BOOTY," a 3-year-old pit bull who is really starting to come out of his shell. Tyson has a laid-back demeanor but enjoys a playful romp with other dogs in a little pittie rumble. While he hasn't shown off any zoomies yet, his curiosity keeps him eager to explore. Tyson is incredibly food and treat-driven, quickly hopping into his crate at bedtime in anticipation of a reward. Though he doesn't like being left alone and prefers to stay close to his people, Tyson is a sweet-natured pup with a hint of puppy mischief. He has a particular fondness for oven mitts and the occasional Amazon package, but with a bone to chew on, he settles down quietly. Tyson has been an easy foster. He might be a bit anxious around small children and large crowds but is wonderfully gentle with his foster family's 13-year-old autistic son. Tyson is looking for a loving home where he can be a loyal and wonderful companion. His adoption fee for Texas is $250 and $550 if transported out of state. MEET JOEY! Joey is a 7-month-old purebred Boxer puppy rescued from a California shelter. He came out of the shelter with stitches on his muzzle and body as he had likely been attacked by another dog. But Joey is doing great now! He's still underweight and we're working on that but beyond that he's a wonderful puppy. He will be neutered once he's at a healthier weight. Joey would do great with an active person or people. He currently needs a foster or forever home. Please email for an application.
