Story
This sweet pup takes advantage of every nice day he can to get out and play. He especially loves soccer and can kick, chase, and carry the ball all on his own but especially likes when you join in. He also excels at tug, loves long walks, and appreciates having a ball thrown for him (although he's not big on retrieving). When he's tired out he enjoys rolling around in the grass, getting belly rubs, and lounging around with a nice squeaky toy. Fezzik is a smart, sensitive boy who knows sit and speak, loves pets, and simply enjoys spending time with people. Story
Introducing: sweet Mr. Charlie (formerly known as Pansy)! This handsome little guy had quite a rough beginning to life…as he was diagnosed with parvo at 7 weeks old. He was hospitalized for over 2 weeks, and in those 2 weeks he showed his true strength and resilience…as a fight for his life he undoubtedly had! Charlie was heavily medicated, tube fed, and monitored by the hour. When he was stable enough to be released from emergency care, his current foster family took him in in-order to keep him separated from his siblings. Fast-forward to today, and Charlie is healthy, happy, strong, and thriving! His care costs were expensive…but you can’t put a price tag on a precious little life. And for Charlie’s life we are SO thankful! Born on 1/1/24 (a New Year’s baby! ) to mama Rosie, Charlie (male) is now over 5 months old. He weighs-in right around 30lbs; our best guess is that fully grown he’ll reach 60-65lbs. Charlie (with all of his cuteness ) is SUCH a lovable little guy! He has lots of energy, loves to give out kisses, and gets along so well with other dogs + humans of any/all ages! He is kennel-trained, usually sleeps through the entire night, knows how to sit, shake, high five, and lay down! As a bonus, he is highly food/treat motivated AND extremely smart! He is bell-trained and will hit the bell hanging at the door when he needs to be let out to potty. Because Charlie’s stomach continues to heal from the toll his illness took on his body, he does tend to have some digestive issues. This may/may not continue for the extent of this sweet boy’s life (good veterinary care will need to be established by his adopters ), but as of right now he’s on a special kibble diet that has proven to be beneficial for his tummy troubles. He would love a family who can exercise him regularly (he’s an active, energetic guy!), and — although not a requirement — would especially love a fenced-in yard to run and play in. He most loves being outside and sunbathing in the backyard! Charlie is being fostered with children ages 6 and 9, and has been around kiddos as young as 5. He loves them all! Though as with any pup, young kids should be taught respect + proper puppy boundaries! As of right now, it is unknown how he’d do with kitties. Charlie loves to play, loves snuggling up in cozy blankies, and just loves being loved. He is such a sweet boy…and a survivor. He will make a wonderfully loving addition to a family he’s able to call his own. Apply now + reach out via private message…just ask for Charlie! APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!)  **Charlie’s $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines to date, and microchip. ##1970301##

Story
Kaida (formerly Maya - sister to Mello and Marcus) has found herself in need of a new home ASAP.  This beautiful young girl is now roughly 6 months old (DOB 11/8/2023) and weighs 32 lbs. It’s been found she’s probably best in a home without cats and she is a bit too interested in the ones she has lived with.  Kaida is your typical energetic young pup and will require exercise to keep her (and your house) safe. She will also benefit greatly from obedience training as this will help both physical and mental stimulation (along with human dog bonding ). She has not had any training to date.  Kaida loves being near her people during the day but sleeps in her crate at night. She’s also fully potty trained but, like any dog in a new situation, she may need a transitional period in a new home. It’s likely she’ll be good with young kids but, being so young and lacking manners, she’ll likely need an adult to teach her how to act around young kids.   Kaida is young and full of energy but really just wants to love on you! If you can help her by fostering or are interested in adoption APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!) **Kaida’s $250 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines to date, heartworm test, current vet check, and microchip. ##1941074##

Story
Meet Maggy, the hilarious and playful girl with a heart of gold! This charming pooch is always up for a good time, especially when it involves her beloved toys – whether it's chasing balls, squeaking away at her favorite toys, or engaging in a spirited game of tug of war with her rope toys. Maggy takes her treats gently, showcasing her gentle nature. With her stout body and uniquely beautiful big ears, she's truly one of a kind. But what truly sets Maggy apart is her knack for communication – she's not afraid to make funny noises or adorable grunts to let you know exactly what's on her mind. If you're looking for a furry friend who will keep you entertained with her antics and bring endless joy into your life, Maggy is the perfect match for you! Maggy should do well in households with kids of all ages. We are unsure how she would do in a home with cats as we don't know if she has lived with any in the past. Maggy seems to be quite picky about her canine companions. So she requires a dog-to-dog meet before going into a home with another dog Maggy is a 6 year old pitbull terrier who is up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped, spayed and currently weighing 64lbs. ***If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Meet Peaches Introducing Peaches, the easygoing pitbull who finds joy in quiet moments and cozy couch cuddles. She proves that strength doesn't always need to be loud, showcasing the power of her gentle nature. Peaches did great on a Doggy Day Out with one of our volunteers. She got to go on a walk, get a pup-cup and did plenty of cuddling and napping. She was described as loving, sweet and adorable. She did well on the car-ride and even knows "sit" and "down". This goofy girl also loves to rub against people's legs, a bit like a cat would. We are unsure how Peaches would do in a home with cats as we don't know if she has lived with them in the past. Peaches should do well with another dog in the home given proper introductions. She should do well in a home with children who can respect her space. Peaches is a very laid back girl who wants nothing more than a couch to lay on and a person to cuddle, if you meet these standards and are looking to add another member to your family apply now! We believe Peaches to be around 6-years-old, most recently weighing 59 pounds. Peaches is heartworm positive, therefore she is a Foster-to-Adopt candidate so she can continue heartworm treatment in a home. ***If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Scooby Doo is an inquisitive, intelligent, affectionate, energetic 4-year-old looking for a gentle, consistent person who's as eager as he is to take on all life has to offer. This Doberman/Boxer mix-with a dash of Peruvian Inca Orchid-enjoys interacting with his people, while he is less interested in those he doesn't know well. He can spot his favorite people from a long distance and his nubby tail will start going so fast that his whole body wiggles with excitement! If you're lucky, his big ears might even jump for joy! He appreciates a regular routine and, most days, he is attentive and enjoys learning new tricks and playing games. Once and awhile, he bounces to "Scooby-world", which is why "Listen was one of his first commands. He also knows "sit", "lie down", "this way", and "here". He is a hard-core athlete- strong, agile, and very quick-expecting an active companion who enjoys his spunky and quirky personality. He loves to bounce and zoom around. He is an expert at catch, often jumping off the ground in his enthusiasm to snatch treats and toys out of the air. As the center of the household, he prefers no 4-legged roommates, wanting all of your attention for himself! Scoobs, in a word, is passionate-about running, sniffing, playing games and tricks, cuddling, sleeping, belly rubs, food, treats, being pampered, and so much more! Scooby has been waiting patiently for his forever family! If that might be you, fill out an application to to learn more about him today!

Story
Meet Murphy! Murphy is a total love bug and is most happy getting his ears scratched. He is playful and loves fetch, tug-of-war, and is very respectful of his plush toys, only nibbling on them to hear the squeaker. Murphy is a foodie and enjoys anything served to him, and has taken a liking to sweet potato dried dog treats as a chewy little snack. One of Murphy's quirks is that he prefers to introduce himself to you by sniffing your nose, instead of your hand because he likes to meet face-to-face, like a proper gentleman. Murphy is looking for a home with many cozy movie nights, a home where his playful spirit is celebrated with a game of chase in the backyard. He is eager to learn new things, meet new people, and share his silly personality with anyone who calls him handsome. To adopt Murphy, fill out an application online at HSNEI.org today!
