Meet Molly, a 4-year-old brindle-colored pup with a heart of gold. This sweet and sensitive girl enjoys hiking, car rides, and games of fetch and tug-o-war. Molly is a bundle of energy but also loves to curl up on the couch for a good snooze.Like all dogs, Molly does best with reward based, positive training and since Molly loves food it`s very easy to motivate and reward her.She has been through some tough times in her life, which has left her struggling with her emotions. Molly is currently on a training plan to help her cope better and is looking for a committed person to continue her training and provide her with the structure and stability she needs.Despite her rough exterior, Molly is a gentle soul who craves love, patience, and understanding. She is looking for a home where she can feel safe and secure, surrounded by a family that will give her the care and attention she deserves.Molly would do best in a home with teenage children or older. Currently, she is uncomfortable around other dogs, and her reaction to cats is unknown. Miss Molly would like to meet you a couple of times before she is adopted.If you are ready to open your heart and home to Molly and provide her with the love and support she needs, she will be forever grateful. PROS? Tug is life. Food is also life. Any and all of the food any and all of the time.There are stick dogs, ball dogs, and disc dogs. Remy is a stick dog.? Very social. If you’re a human or a dog he already loves you.? Likes to watch/observe everything, loves sitting outside to just watch.? Very athletic, loves to play/run, used to a fenced yard but does well on a leash with his head collar. Does okay on a tether or an overhead line.? Just wants both your hands to rub his chest/belly all day.? Has a vested interest in not being in trouble. Definitely wants to please and wants to do the good dog stuff to get the good dog rewards. Super responsive to praise, affection, and food.? 100% a lap dog, loves to snuggleCONS? 100% a 53lb lap dog? Can be fearful with things like sudden loud noises, things falling, thunderstorms, fireworks are the worst, vacuums are okay.? When he wants something, he really wants it and is a very good problem solver to get from point a to point b.? If there are unfamiliar dogs around he will be so distracted (NEEDS to make friends) by their existence he will likely not follow commands or do so in a limited capacity.Our home is unfortunately no longer a fit for him. He is terrified of our young toddler (under 18 mos) and we are out of options. He has always done well around older children (3+) so we have been both surprised and saddened by this. At this point we are sure it is not going to resolve with time and guidance and Remy is stressed all of the time regardless of our efforts. We have had Remy since he was about 5 months old; this decision was not made lightly. We think he may still do well in a home with elementary aged kids or older, when they have a better understanding of how to behave around a dog that isn`t sure about you yet. He has never been around cats or small pets but does chase/hunt squirrels and chipmunks. He hasn`t been around dogs under 20lb since he was a pup. Remy has never been aggressive toward humans or dogs and is submissive overall.He has always had a dog sibling but would thrive as a solo dog with plenty of affection. He has never been destructive in the home and is used to being on the furniture. We have not used a crate since he was about a year old. He is a very heavy chewer and loves rawhides, though they need to be supervised because he will sometimes try to just shotgun the entire thing if it doesn`t have knots on the ends. We wil
