Story
Ebony is a petite little lady with the best personality! She's snuggly and friendly, and also a bit of a diva lol. Are you looking for a "house hippo" to snuggle and give belly rubs? This is your girl right here! She likes other dogs, she's a good girl in the house, and she knows to potty outside. This girl loves attention from human that she knows, and she would love to be your new buddy, especially if you're a woman. She's okay with kids but she jumps up so we don't recommend young kids that can get knocked over. Men can be a bit scary to Ebony until she gets to know them. No kitty cats for Miss Ebony. Ebony rides well in the car. She loves belly rubs, gives great kisses, and if you throw the ball for her it will make her whole day. She is about 45 lbs but she's compact. SOLID girl right here LOL. Ask us about her and we'll get you in touch with her foster! If you like this cutie and you're in driving distance to the Northeast like Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, Hartford, Secaucus, or the Pacific Northwest, Portland, Seattle, send us inquiry and we'll give you a call and video chat! Here's the link: www.friendsfurliferescue.org/adoption-application Our transport can take this pup to any of the above locations. (YES we also adopt to Canada, if you're willing to drive to one of the above cities to pick up.) Thank you! We're looking forward to your inquiry! Considering Ebonie for adoption? Heihei is extremely lovable n sweet. He is a little timid but great with kids. Unfortunately I have 3 kids under 5 and their father recently had heart surgery so we no longer can meet their physical needs and need to focus on the health issue. I also have his mom with us would prefer not to split them. Walking both has been a struggle and fear they will start having behavior problems due to lack of physical activity. Looking for someone to take them on advantarues. Heihei is a great listener loves to run in fields and comes when told. Both have gone through professional training and are crate trained.

✨ AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ✨ Meatball | Male | 3 Years Old | Mixed Breed | Neutered | Vaccinated | Microchipped | Good with Dogs | No Cats | Good with Dog-Savvy Kids | Medium Energy Meet Meatball! Meatball is a fun-loving, playful pup with a big heart and an even bigger personality! This adorable goofball is full of charm, energy, and cuddles. He’s incredibly friendly, loves people more than anything, and is always ready to smother you with face kisses. Meatball’s playful and affectionate nature makes him the perfect companion for someone looking for a goofy best friend who also loves to snuggle. He’s medium-energy and happiest when he’s near his favorite humans. While he gets along well with other dogs, he’s more focused on his people and prefers to play with doggy friends after spending some time getting to know them. He even has a big, playful mastiff buddy he enjoys hanging out with! Meatball is smart and eager to learn, and while he currently knows “sit,” he’s still working on polishing his manners. He’s crate-trained and finds comfort in his crate, especially when left alone, as he’s still learning what’s okay to chew (shoes and wires are just too tempting for him right now!). Meatball has a curious nature and loves exploring the world around him, so he’ll need a cat-free home and someone ready to keep an eye on him around squirrels and other small animals. This lovable boy is looking for a family who will continue helping him build confidence and reinforce his good habits. If you’re ready for a playful, loving, and sometimes goofy pup, Meatball is ready to bring joy, laughter, and endless cuddles into your life!

Story
Amor is the sweetest girl you will ever meet who loves lots of cuddles and is very affectionate. Our volunteers regularly spend time in her room cuddling with her and she truly appreciates it. She also enjoys going for walks with her people and is very playful. Unfortunately she does not get along with other dogs or cats and will need to be the only dog in the home. On her walks she can be reactive to other dogs, but she is learning to walk by them comfortably.

Story
Mackey was rescued after a life of living outside all alone. This powerhouse is such a fun loving boy! Mackey does not trust new people easily but with a proper introduction and lots of time, he learns to share his things and give affection. Once comfortable with his people, he listens well and is bouncy and playful. Mackey will need an experienced adult family to manage his resource guarding and teach him how to live in a house. Mackey is very intelligent and has learned many different ways to control these behaviors. He will need continued practice with muzzle training for vet visits and boundaries in the home to control his resource guarding. With clear guidance and reward for desired behavior, Mackey can easily learn to live in a home. Mackey has a high prey drive which makes him aggressive towards small dogs and wildlife. He will need lots of control on walks, distance away from all dogs, constant obedience training and positive reinforcement to keep him in a good mindset and paying attention to his owner. Mackey would do best in a house with a fully fenced yard.
